Had notification today to say that bridge will be lifted at 1400 on Monday for any boat that wants to escape being trapped. It will only be open for short time so you need to be there at that time.

There is a water tap where the old services were at the very end of the Macclesfield. We used it today and the pressure was loads better than it used to be. Didn’t see any bins in the area and heaven knows what cassette toileters are supposed to do?!? With bridge 24 being blocked, it’s a long way back to the Bosley services 🤷♂️

Arrived at Bodley bottom lock this morning. Padlocked, didn’t realise there was still restricted opening. Nice peaceful mooring 🤷♂️🤣

Yes they appear to be, kind of click open and close. Trying to put it all back in the cupboard I need a 30% version of me with more dexterity 🤣

It has worked for at leat 5 years! I think the non return valves are within the bottom section

Not investigated fully gulper yet. It’s making a whirry sound but not pumping out. Suppose these things have a shelf life before breaking. Is it usually a straight swap? Not quite. On Trent and Mersey near end off Macclesfield ( in Kidsgrove) normally really good services. How long they’ve been closed for- don’t know

Don’t know if this has been posted elsewhere but the services are closed( water points open) this has nicely coincided with our whale gulper breaking. Boatlife 🤣

Thanks for that but just switched to black coffee, that’s been relatively easy. As I said I’m not perfect. I was only saying how some of the fake meat products are actually worth a try. As I said I’m not preaching( trying not to)

You are right. I’ve cut out milk, but cheese is proving difficult. I’m not perfect! Cant except the bit about animals not being treated badly though. Meat cannot be cheap, if it is you know it has come from terrible factory style conditions. Genuine local free range cannot be a cheap product. But if I did eat it, that would be the only option for me.
