  1. Boaters we met a while ago had this system installed http://www.hybrid-marine.co.uk/14.html. The lady said she was not going to live on a boat unless it was like a house with all the appliances ... They had the £22,000 package .

  3. Yet again Peel holdings have extended this stoppage . No doubt even more boaters will have their Summer cruise disrupted.. 4. Every long range forecast you look at is different. Is there one that is more reliable and more accurate than the others ?.
  5. We have been told that at a couple of Marinas that we have visited .We were told that lots of boaters get home and then can't remember if they had switched this or that off . So it was taking up a lot of time for the marina employees to check the boats. One told us that as soon as they started charging a fee it was amazing how boaters left their boats with everything switched off !.
  6. I know that some marinas will charge a fee if you ring them and ask them to check your boat , not sure about Barby though.
  7. Upton is a great place to stop and explore , but we have always struggled to moor there mostly in high season though . A few extra pontoons would be good .
  8. A saying I have heard many times is. Canals are not about speed ,If you want to go fast get a Motorhome or caravan.
  9. It seems Grafton Regis is a place to be avoided although it's a lovely rural mooring . This is not the first time there have been thefts there . A bit isolatedI so easy for the thieves.
  10. Just had a mental picture of that. Not good
  11. Anton, Furness or New mills Marina . Are there any detectives on here that can sort out this mystery ?
  12. It's all a load of rubbish. As you say ..Possibly,could be, might be's.
  13. Surely all these new marinas will be for all the Continuous cruisers that C&RT want to get off the canal system . They need somewhere to go .
  14. Hired from here a few years ago .. We went South and enjoyed all the locks .It was good to keep busy and have a bit of a work out in the process .
