Correction! I meant Middle Northwich not "Woolwich"

I don't know if it is of interest to anyone reading this thread, as there seems to be some confusion whether "Taurus" should be named "Crater". Way back in 1989 I was offered an un-converted Middle Woolwich butty named "Taurus" for sale at £5,500. I didn't purchase it but still have a copy of the sale particulars.

Thanks for all your replies, most helpful. Seems it may be Brauston tunnel, although I cannot remember when I would have been going that way. Just out of interest, seems I am not the only one who has "lost" a tunnel. Try to find Wast Hill tunnel on the CRT interactive map.

Many years ago I was boating somewhere south of Birmingham, I thought it was on the Worcs and Birmingham canal and went through a very long tunnel, no towpath and at the halfway point it was impossible to see either end portal. It gave a lasting impression of being buried alive. I thought I remembered it to be Tardibigge Tunnel but this is only 580metres. Wast Hill Tunnel, further north could fit the bill but I recently read that it is possible to see from one portal to another. Can anyone shed light on which tunnel this may be? It was many years ago when I went through it but I am sure I was not dreaming.
