Thankyou. Yes I have the workshop manual. It doesn't go into much detail though. And assumes you understand some quite technical language!
I Have two sets of piston rings. I'm assuming the copper ones are the actual ring and the others are just shims?
I literally have a few dozen parts in this kit that I have no idea what they are!
I was hoping for a parts manual to work out what's what.
Anyhow. Will see how I get on. I'm more experienced with STs and LR's.

At least the owners have proper cowling for ventilation.
I go to so many overheating jobs on air cooled listers with no vent ducting or even grills in the engine bay. People having to drive the boat with the deck boards out to keep the engine running!
From what I understand. The air cooled lumps, when new, had more than enough built in cooling.
Obviously over time the crap builds up on the fan blades and are never cleaned.
This LT doesn't have blades. Just a duct that connects to the top cover
