To start with when you go to look at a boat does it look taken care of, does it smell musty when you go inside, look for stained woodwork from leaks, does the engine look clean and tidy and look like someone's taken care of it, is there water and oil in the bilge. you can generally tell if a boat has been loved then get a survey.

Try Port Hampton we had a mooring there and when we sold our house we lived there for quite awhile. Quite a few other people were living on their boats.

Instead of spending hours on here moaning about a boat you cant handle,9 try getting out on her and spending that time practicing your boat handling skills it much more fun and you might find out its not the boat after all.

Just got rid of my 12v freezer very rarely used it, now got room for a wine rack and beer storage much more useful
