We've been to the top of the Hatton Flight on our 10 ft widebeam. If I remember correctly, a lot of the bridges were low after Stockton Locks. Watch out for the Blue Lias bridge at the bottom of those locks, it's a bit awkward and apparently quite notorious.

We always have trouble getting in opposite you. It is pretty shallow all the way down that section.

^^^ We were down there for a couple of weeks during June on a 70 x 10 widebeam. We got in at Paddington by pure luck and good timing. We left there after a few days wanting to stop somewhere on the Regents. No space at all and double or even triple breasted in most places (even on some lock landings!!). It was getting late and we were getting a bit worried we wouldn't find a spot so we turned left onto the Duckets and there was hardly anyone moored up. No idea why it was empty there when it was rammed all the way through the Park - bit of a trek to the nearest tube station??

I met the chap with the boat that was cilled in Lock 15 earlier today. They seemed like a pleasant couple. A real shame that something unfortunate like this happened, regardless of the circumstances. Luckily, the only damage is to the skeg and a bit of water damage to the front cabin. Not too bad as they are in the process of refitting. I hope they are able to get the boat back into good shape again soon.

Floating again now

Oh dear. We'll be passing there this coming week. It didn't look like the guy in the house was still digging when we went past in June. I even got you a photo of the grass growing back. We'll keep an eye out for this overzealous licence checker as well. I'd better not catch him upsetting my wife! Cheers, Ross
