  1. As the owner of De Harley Crossley, This is a Dutch Street Organ not a fair organ, the correct details are Built in 1968 by Arthur Bursens of Hoboken, Antwerp, Belgium. He was well into his seventies when he built this organ, the second of 4 similar 52key instruments, He later continued building new 68key organs up to his death when he was in his 80s. The paintings were all done by Harley Crossley, at the time the only organ named after the painter with his genuine paintings. The paintings are, T & S Elements, Mayflower in Bratch Locks, Wolverhampton Top Lock c1910, Thomas Clayton pair at Highbridge, and at the top a Shropshire Union Boat at Stourport. The photo was taken in 2018 at Stourbridge. With the death of Arthur Bursens, the firm came to the end and no longer exists.
  2. Kildare, was, as Pete Harrison said, built by Braithwaite and Kirk of West Bromwich, which is very much on the BCN. They also built some Joey boats for FMC, one No 108 is at the BCLM also. Peacock is more the problem boat, not wanted by its owners, the Think Tank, and more or less dumped at the BCLM. But they are finally paying for some repairs, long overdue.
  3. Andy, can you please get in touch with me, your email does not seem to be working, thanks Francis.
  4. Can any one help with the builders of the following two joey boats BCN 2366 Sapphire, built for T & S Element in 1954. BCN 2379 Comet, built for T & S Element in 1956. It is possibly Allens of Oldbury, but can anyone confirm this, or correct, maybe Worseys? but were they still in existence. Thank you
  5. No tugs at the museum, Coventry was there, and has been since last year without a break. I know she is the smallest working tug, but she was tied by Broad Street Bridge, as she always is. You seem to have chosen a very quiet day or were you out of hours. I have just been there for 4 days and it was very busy. On the 18 & 19 July it is the museum 40's weekend. There will be movement of boats, please make your self known, and we will be happy to chat about tugs and joey boats. Enterprise No 1 will also be there.
