  1. It is not and do not propose that it is, hence the italics and that missing tongue in cheek smilie.

    LED Bulbs

Biggles As posted elsewhere. To the same question. http://www.bedazzled.uk.com/12v_LED_Bulb_Replacement.htm Halfway down the page. Have no connection with this company.
  3. carnzu You have dragged up a post from nearly a year ago, Chris w has not been on the forum for many months but if he was here he would defend himself more than robustly. All that he has stated is fact as he knows them the only conjecture he made was that the 'coats' would be thin. We are all entitled to an opinion and allowed to express it, this is a forum.
  4. Biggles G4 available at Bedazzled (12v) http://www.bedazzled.uk.com/12v_LED_Bulb_Replacement.htm about halfway down the page. Have no connection etc.
  5. Is that the one that keep breaking down?
  6. Nck Welcome to the forum. As this is your first post, I will be gentle and you were not to know. Search (top right) for either (Erbaspacher or Webasto) and when you have read all the posts, you will know the the answer. Perhaps Most boat systems are of the 'wet' radiator type. Warning: reading all the posts, should take less than about a month, especially if you speed read.
  7. Pete We to have sold the house, shock horror, no way back but we are still doing it. A few years ago a work colleague said, " If you wish to do something, do it because if you don't there will be a time that you regret it." I too have retired due to ill health, not cancer thankfully, we only have one life. So my thought is go for it but if it all goes belly up I will deny everything.
  8. It is not much different to hand making if you take the standing time into consideration. It is not continuous, I have not checked the total consumption but it is all thermostatically controlled and the first hour is just warming the wholemeal flour. If making 'white' the time is four hours as there is not the warming period. There are also 'quick' recipes that take a much shorter time.
  9. Thanks Alan Yes did miss the butter.
  10. All breadmakers come with their own recipe books for different loaves/dough etc. Basic ingredients: yeast, flour, sugar, milk powder, salt and water.
  11. Use arm signals .................................as per the highway code.

  15. Would it not be better in a cup or mug. Where's my coat.
  16. Yes.................................but If it is registered with BW (British Waterways) just inform them and the licence will be changed, they use the 'registration number' to identify. EA (Environment Agency) use boat name and there cannot be two with the same name, so it would have to be approved. There other registering authorities but do not know in what way they operate. There are apparently certain 'pagan' rituals that have to be performed, I think virgins were mentioned before, have a search.

  20. and................ the engine would run at a constant speed, so when you went past other boats and the engine note does not change you will get shouted at to slow down. Oops!! wrong thread but you will get shouted at anyway.
  21. Standard diverter valves appear to work off 230v, but as we've got an inverter plus a land line when moored, we don't think that this would be a problem although, obviously, a 12v circuit would be a much better idea. The slight disadvantage of the idea is that only one of the two circuits could be open at a time - the present arrangement allows both, but I thnk that we could live with this as we only heat the radiators very occasionally when moored, preferring the stove when longer periods of warmth are required. True No, motorised valves are either one or both.
  22. seventies andy Welcome to the forum. You have been rumbled, BW are having a purge on all those that do not comply with the 'rules'. Liams link is the one I would have given. You could possibly argue that the K&A is a significant part of the system but you would have to travel its whole length. Bath to the Thames.
  23. Orange have a free PC plus dongle for £25 per month or just the dongle for £15. There is a limit on download 3Gb, just like every other mobile phone company. http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/mobile_broadband?WT.svl=202 I am also sure that when looking previously (cannot find it now) this dongle was 'EDGE' enabled.
  24. I thought that to compression test an engine, the tester is fitted into the heater plug socket. So if that was fitted correctly, then it would show the 'correct' pressures. This engine apparently has one cylinder compression that is not the same/close to the other three but I would have thought that it would still run (not correctly but still run). Start with the basics: 1. is the fuel up to standard (no water) 2. are the heater plugs working correctly 3. is there fuel at the injectors 4. are the injectors clean
