  2. If the access road is privately owned then it may be them that bought about the complaint, if this was the case then I'd definitely be inclined to go with CRT's request as they may be able to deny access to moorers.
  3. If you're anywhere near London, there's a place called Watson Diesel in Wimbledon. Ask for Ian, as he is very good with marine stuff.
  4. Definitely sounds like a leak at one end of the high pressure side, pump or injector, or connecting pipework.
  5. The bottom picture is the one I was thinking of.
  6. I may have the wrong boat, the testing was for John Knill if memory is correct. Not sure of the time line.
  7. Too many substantial buildings in the background for Hanwell. Other than the asylum, most structures are later than the date of the picture.
  8. It was all very rural behind the asylum, as it was used as farmland by the institution and backed onto Osterley Park/Syon Park.
  9. If this was on the Hanwell flight, there wouldn't be any substantial buildings in the backdrop. It was all very rural in the vicinity of the windmill.

  12. The OP already stated it is a very short run, so why not use the input size? It would seem pointless to go smaller than the terminal size.
  13. One of the test runs for the Petter PD3 I believe.
  14. I'd start by looking at the size of the fittings on water heater and cooker, this shows their designed input and will save on unnecessary reducing with fittings. Most are 3/8" on standard lpg appliances.

  16. Not Midlands related but there used to be a large Arms/munitions factory adjacent to Bulls Bridge. I'd imagine most of that was shipped via canals.

  22. I never had a tachometer, so set tick over to the point where it sounded right.
  23. I placed a dead smart phone battery on top of our squirrel stove during the summer and quickly forgot about the flat, matt black item. On lighting it, and up to temperature, a puff of smoke was soon followed by a magnesium type white glow - I used a stove tool to pick it up for a swift burial at sea!
  24. You definitely need to use the manufacturers spec, or something with identical properties. Our last boat had a 3KR1 and it was extremely smooth, right through the rev range, but when the originals failed I was supplied firmer ones by a well meaning friend and you could almost feel your eyes shaking in your head! This was quickly cured by fitting the correct ones. The very short shaft is probably exacerbating the vibration too.
