I find the wire brush just removes the loose and flaky old paint and keys the remaining intact paintwork ready for over coating. I don't want to take the hull back to bare metal so it sounds like I'm staying with Intertuf.

Hi all, Just wondering what to black the bottom of my boat with, Comastic or Intertuf? It is currently coated with Intertuf. I've heard Comastic is longer lasting, is it? I'm planning on going over the hull with a twist knot wire brush on an angle grinder to remove any loose or flaky paint but leaving any intact paintwork in place. Would Comastic adhere to this or would I have to go back to bare metal? Any thoughts?

I've just had a look at the National Baton Twirling Association's website and I can't find anything about canals or boats ;)0

I've just been hearing from an acquaintance who phoned CRT yesterday seeking some assistance on The Huddersfield. He was told that CRT are not responsible for that canal. Interesting, free moorings anyone?
