  2. Can some kind soul point me in the direction of a diagram, manual or drawing , description of how and where to install the main fuel pipe and the spill back pipe to a cruiser stern mounted two cylinder Lister TS2. the engine is on rubber mounts so am planning to connect the main piping with a short piece of ISO7840 rubber pipe, but I am a bit in the dark as to how the small bore piping for the spill back is installed/connected. Is there a source of fittings, are they 2mm? Richard A
  3. As I have progressed with the engine install of a Lister TS2, I have realised that the TS2 I have been sold does not seem to have any sort of temperature switch or air temperature sender, although I have located and wired in the Oil pressure switch. does anyone have any diagrams etc which would point me in the right direction for an oil temperature switch and how to fit it, and maybe someone has a stock item, similarly there are a number of approx. 1/2" holes in the air cowling and I wondered if these were for air temperature switches ? Hope someone with Lister experience can shed some light. The Lister control panel I am installing has connections for three warning lights, i.e. Charge (obvious), Oil Pressure (already found and connected as above, and Temperature, for which the sensor/switch cannot be found. Richard
  4. Sorry for my confusion, but is this part you are quoting 1. the air filter 2. the exhaust gasket or 3. the stub pipe with mating flange (RHS of second pic)
  5. Thanks very much for the rapid response. Am I allowed to extend the enquiry by asking about an exhaust flange and gasket for the same Lister TS2. the attached photo shows the exhaust flange coming off the manifold, facing sternwards. The silencer assembly has 1.1/2" flexible pipe with two bolt flange attached with U bolts. (see second photo attached) any sources for these items would be most appreciated.
  6. Can anyone help me source a decent replacement air filter for my Lister TS2, which has a round flat air cleaner box a bit like a frying pan in shape. the old filter element is a strip of black foam between two metal mesh rings. size is 75mm high or 3 inch, 160mm outside diameter (6 .1/4 inch), and 110mm inside diameter (4.1/4 inch). Suggestions please.
  7. Saw a boat moored about on the spot at the back of the Pearl Asian Restaurant yesterday evening (Wednesday 5.30 pm). was that you and did you find there was any problem?
  8. Checked a few days ago and the sunken boat had gone, so well done CRT or whoever. There is no sign of the cabin cruiser at all.
  9. Don't know if its already been reported, but there is a cabin cruiser (maybe 20 footer) sunk about 200 yards west of Bridge 19 on the way into Manchester on the Ashton Canal. it actually sank about 6 months ago, but I pass over bridge 19 (A635 Ashton to Manchester road) every day on the way to work, and as it is now almost completely submerged, I thought it advisable to warn other boaters. Some public-spirited soul has placed a traffic cone over the metal railing at the bows but it still isn't that visible.
  10. In 2014 I bought an exchange LM100 from David Ormerod in Todmorden, who reconditions Lister boxes. you could try him. he also runs a hire fleet in Hebden Bridge. Telephone mobile is 07957869641. hope this helps. let me know how much he is now charging, if you can. Regards
  11. Has any kind member any knowledge of fitting and using a large site tool storage locker to act as a Gas Locker? I have located several likely candidates e.g. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/4-site-van-vault and if I vent this via a welded on pipe to the gunwales and weld the feet to the foredeck, do people think this would be compliant? I would value some feedback on this topic as although a competent engineer, I am new to narrow boat fit-outs. Cheers Richard
  12. Hi all, thank you for all the above advice, very useful. My question is, can you fit the filler point to a bow mounted water tank in the vertical wall of the cabin and lead a flexible pipe down to the lid of the plastic tank i am fitting under the foredeck? it occurs to me it would eliminate the contamination potential of a deck mounted filler, but does it contravene some BSS Rule. my fitout is a 58ft narrow boat where the original bows integral tank has been removed and the hatch welded in, so have fitted a rigid polypropylene tank under the deck. thanks. PS I am still looking for a Lister Control Panel Wiring diagram see other post http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=70968 Thanks Richard
  13. Has anybody got a copy of a wiring diagram for the Lister Control Panel which was attached to my SR2 on our narrowboat. It has a Lister logo on it and the usual keyswitch, Horn push(?), hours run meter and row of panel lights. As I'm new to this forum, I have a picture which I can email. thanks.
