  1. hang on a minute ... I've just realised. it does affect you. so, let me get this right, CRT got rid of all mooring in the area rather deal with a specific problem with specific boat(s) using powers they have to deal with this sort of issue. and you think this is fine? that's solved that problem. let's examine this. the way to deal with unauthorised mooring in London is to make all mooring illegal? im not sure you're seeing the issues with this solution. tell you what.... why don't you go back to blaming a few boats and saying 'it doesn't affect me' I think they are, I really do think they are.
  2. great. that's that problem sorted then. got rid of the scum. it won't affect you though, so that's great. Result.
  3. it's OK chaps, CRT's new regime doesn't affect you.
  4. ...a bit, nowhere in any of CRT's literature or the foaming rants of the skirt followers is the phrase 'except as is reasonable in the circumstances ' mentioned.
  5. no, actually, it wasn't. that's exactly what the legislation was drafted to deal with.

  7. no need for a licence at all. by the time they've given you 28 days to 'remedy the breach' you'll be gone.
  8. passing over that even if you are not directly affected, you should have some concern for those law-abiding boaters who will, CRT may be able to set terms and conditions, what they can't do is set conditions that are at odds with primary legislation.
  9. but you just said the problem is people overstaying. how do the changed terms help this? and you didn't answer the earlier question; what happens ( in cost terms) after the license is refused ?

  13. best off 1. london boaters facebook page 2. walking the towpaths and talking to people. and expect a load of abuse from the know-nothings on here. it's possible, it's not easy and it's entirely a question of trust so you need to talk to people. wanted' post sums it up nicely.

  19. it's will. if people got organised there's enough articulate educated people with good connections and access to legal advice to challenge these terms.
  20. another illegality that no-one will have the will to challenge.
