  1. That would indicate I was trying to sell you something. I was just trying to share a smile. cynicism these days . I logged i as my facebook thing because I couldnt remember my honey ryder login and ended up blocking myself! I dont think this is spammy or massive self promotion. I have nothing financial to gain from it. Simply thought it might be fun on a friday. Someone, somewhere will always write somethig worth sharing. regardless of the platform its presented on.
  2. I've mooted a blog post on flag etiquette for some months now. There's a lot of people who could potentially be offended. So I thought, why not! For your simple guide to the complexities of British nautical flag flying along with a few others, tongue firmly in cheek... (caution, it's a little bit sweary) http://www.boogie-nights.org/2014/10/the-f-word.html AKA Honey Ryder
  3. i promise its just a plain blog powered by blogger. nothing sinister. you can access the blog via www.boogie-nights.org (thats the name of my boat) then theres lots of little square pics, each representing a blog entry. its in chronological order with the newest at the top left. my narrowboat blog is right down the bottom. the blog runs from jan 2007 to present.
  4. dear canal world forumites, some of you may remember me as Honey Ryder, a live aboard since 2006. I sold the narrowboat a while back, some of you may have read my blog about the pit falls and joys of living on a boat with a grumpy French man and a slightly racist chihuahua. the blog liveson, albeit with another boat of a rather different nature. so, the last 4 years have been another level of adventure. between working for a mentallist editor in London, taking redundancy and then just enjoying the whirlwind that followed that and then finding a wonderful job in southampton. the latest adventure is one offshore.I know this is not a forum full of people wishing to embark on such things, however, I think the entertainment value is worth sharing it. im a liveaboard. I have certain civilities I maintain in my home, even when racing it 700 miles across the irish sea and the english channel. such as cooking fresh food, baking a cake while leaning at 35degrees which is much harder than you might first imagine... and maintaining a sense of humour so ladies and gentlemen, indulge me, have a read, and have a glass of something wherever you may be as I raise mine at completing one my lifes little goals. www.boogie-nights.org http://www.boogie-nights.org/2014/06/yachting-monthly-triangle-race-leg-1_18.html http://www.boogie-nights.org/2014/06/yachting-monthly-triangle-race-leg-2.html http://www.boogie-nights.org/2014/07/ymtr-third-leg.html note: i would have posted from my honey ryder forum account but for some reason i cant log in to it so had to choice but to reregister via farcebook. if anyone can link me back to my honey ryder account that would be splendid.
