  1. Hi tony wonder if you could help me , I have a bank of 6 x 6v Trojans 7 years old , I have checked the specific gravity of them as I thought they where not charging right, I need to take 2 off as there is one that is bad first cell is showing 1280 acid is dirty,second cell is not on the scale ,third cell is 1850 all when 100% with victron bm & smart gauge , checked them to day victron bm showing 72.6% smart gauge showing 60% cell one 1350 acid is dirty cell 2 not on the scale 3 cell 1250 , I know I have to take 2 off , all the battery leads on battery 6 need to go on battery 4 which is not a problem for me to do , I am just struggling with battery lead ( I have numbered it number 4 please see attached picture ) am I thinking 

    Right that I can do away with it ?

      As I can't see all six batteries I can not comment. I assume that you have another start battery or you use the same size batteries for starting and domestic use.

       

      I do not think you can do away with it. Each par of batteries need one positive and one neg terminal linked. That then gives you, in effect 3 x 12V batteries.

       

      Then each pair needs linking to the next pair by an interlink on the one positive on  each PAIR and one negative on each PAIR.

       

      I have done a simple diagram.

       

      I suggest that you take the 12V interlink leads off so you can see the linked pairs and then work out where the interlinks go. In your case the batteries seem to have been placed so each pair have their pos and neg on the same side so the pair links look almost like more 12V interlinks.
