Additional required qualifications are an ability to deal with hordes of single sex young inebriated groups of “pirates”, and an equal ability to fob off members of the public complaining about their subsequent antisocial antics.
Such a cynic ;-)

I think I'd like to speak up for the commentator, Norman. It's a pretty thankless task and I certainly wouldn't want to stand on the bridge for hours on end.
The answer is for boaters to hand him a revised information sheet on the day. Don't rely on an update being transferred from your application form.
Also remember that the commentator has only time for a few points. Wading through masses of information and extracting just a few sentences must be tricky.
Well said Jim

The Elsan at Hurley lock is closed because it's full. Apparently, the EA have a "honey barge" for empting the septic tanks of the facilities on lock islands, and the old one has been condemned, whilst its replacement has been cocked-up. This means that other Thames facilities without mains sewer connections are likely to be in the same state, or soon will be.
Do any of the Reading marinas allow Elsan disposal without payment?
Cheers.

Go to Tingdene reading Si and use my name as a contact with the marina

Well I picked it up today and would like to just say a HUGE thank you to Anthony at Rose Narrowboats for the time and accuracy in making these new cans , it certinally stands alongside the best in my opinion for quality / weight and accuracy
but
A great can is enhanced by the paintwork and on ours Dave Moore has exceeded in spades all and any expectations .its not often I am stuck for words but when I first saw it I was speechless
Thank you both for creating a "legacy" can that we will be proud to have on the cabin top of Hare

A nasty piece of work. They should however have added ten years on for supplying composting toilets to gullible people also.
