    Indeed I am ! I will be at Denham deep most of Saturday but we did meet last weekend on the lockside !! Roger is a very old friend of ours and good at what he does Baldock is currently on his workshop mooring after refixing a broken engine mounting leg ! mind you we tend to stop there a lot !! ( something to do with beer !!)

    Whilst I agree with Phil entirely as to sourcing these older engines, you must also be aware that many of them have had lives in a "Salt Air" / "Salt Water" environment and unless they have been meticulously maintained there were definitely be areas of degradation due to that environment We had a Lister HRW2 brought in by a customer for us to rebuild (Ex fishing Boat) and when we stripped it the salt water damage to the waterways and manifolds rendered the engine only fit for spares There are bargains still to be had but please look carefully before parting with the cash

    Sometimes even I have to work out who is who in the pics Mrs B on the left hand rear of pics and Cara ( nee Baggage) is the well fed one ! The dog still has a complex about being seen with me in daylight !! lol
