  1. Experience of other Boats is precisely what I need whilst I agree every boat is different due to insulation Windows ventilation et cetera et cetera nothing can beat good old-fashioned hands on experience All I really want is one of the two following Yes, it keeps our Boat nice and warm No, it’s Shit
  2. To be honest “heat loss calcs” are a paperworks calculation I asked for real practical world experience which imo is a dammed sight better
  3. Has anyone on the forum got one fitted with a back boiler running radiators if you do please can you dm me so we can have a chat about it we’re not sure if it’s “ man enough” to heat 2- 3 rads and space heat the saloon ( total cabin length 45ft) thanks Chris
  4. Hi, Lise and I have just purchased a preowned corner diesel bubble which will be refurbished and fitted later this year this particular stove is fired with a back boiler but our plans for CYPRUS would be better suited if this was just standalone in the saloon at the front ( we would also be fitting a diesel burner Autoterm , new pipe work and rads along with a calorifier ) so the question is .. Can we either a) disregard the fitted back boiler and carry on b) fill the back boiler with sand/vermiculite etc and carry on c) redesign the system with one rad and keep the back boiler ( Which I would rather not do tbh ) . I have previously emailed Harworth heating with this question but as of yet had no reply ( probably cos they are not selling anything ) cheers Chris

  23. We are thinking about next year updating and modifying the heating system on the boat Currently we have a sf stove with two rads on a thermal convection system Long term we would like a standalone stove in the lounge area and fit a planar 5kw wet heater ( which we already have in stock ) I have no problems with the fitting of any pipe work, calorifier etc on the LH side of the boat as per the ( amateur) drawing But I would also like to run a either 22 or 15 mm copper pipe loop on the opposite side of the boat to keep a background heat in wardrobe , cupboards and under the bed to eliminate cold spots / condensation Can I just T this of off the main run or do I need to fit a valve / reducer Many thanks Chris ( very much in planning as we’re warm this winter lol )
  24. No ! Neil was a previous owner who was involved in the conversion to what it is now a lovely chap
