  1. We are out for a week next week sun 27th july to sun 3rd of august. We are taking some friends from Napton to gas street and back so look out for NB Taiga and give us a wave or come and say hi.
  2. Top tip for getting in the bed from @BullVinnie I get put in my crate at night so I can't chew on all that lovely wood in the boat or the odd slipper . At 6 am start barking to go out for a wee get let out hop out the cratch wee a river jump back on race past mum straight to back cabin leap on bed go straight under duvet to bottom of the bed and start snoring works every time
  3. I have been using farecla metal polish which is good and not as messy as brasso. After the winter they were bad so at easter I went at them with a metal buffing kit I had that goes in electric drill and had fantastic results but I know when I go back to the boat in a couple of weeks they are going to need doing again. where do you get incralac Richard?
  4. Does cling film not melt to it in the summer I like shiny brasses
  5. Does any one have any good tips for keeping your brasses shiny while your away from the boat. I quite like polishing the brasses but don't get to the boat from one month to the next . Thinking of laqauring them but not sure how long they would last?
  6. We used to have a twelth share in an ownerships boat and that had a bmc engine it. It had run out of hours on clock but was still reliable ownerships kept trying to talk us into a new engine but we used to argue that you don't have a new engine in your car just because it hits 100,000 miles. Our current boat has a perkins D3 in its own engine room much easier for maintance and warms the back cabin a treat and drys wet clothes out . Ultimately personal preference and how you intend to use your boat.

  8. Good pic ray some expensive machinery behind you there . I have just swapped my escort rs turbo track toy for a skyline , I am supposed to be selling it according to Fiona but I quite fancy hanging on to it . Always fancied doing Nurberg ring . Hi Athy yes we did see trojan And we saw keeping up with jones family
  9. Hi Cheshire rose When i get to grips with how to put photos on i will up load some of our boy. If your on twitter follow @BullVinnie our pups antics and a few pics are on there. Hi Martyn Yes it was very chilly. We started talking to you and your wife as you were waiting in the garden with your dog for the others to come out. We had ended up taking a table in the garden as the pub was so busy. Fiona has just pointed out we had left the dog on the boat as we had gone to get some thing to eat.
  10. Hello all We were the couple in the garden with the white english bull terrier that found our selves in the middle of the banter. It was great meeting you all, have looked on this forum on and off but didn't even realise you do meets. We saw a few of your boats as we continued our journey down to Banbury (NightWatch and the infamous Bones) the following morning we had a good chat with Ray T good to see we are not the only ones with a foot in slow pace of life and one in racing about in cars. Although i have to say our boating has been taking priority recently. We are back out on the boat at the end of may for 10 days can't wait.
