Please not like these Newbies? These two come across as desperate to be on the Social Media Platform. Even have a weekly Pod Cast to tell the world of their experience of living in a Marina for a month, a shop for their merchandise (even though they have never been out yet or through a lock) and the obligatory Donations page (to pay for the running costs of their new car and residential moorings) https://www.lovelifetriumph.co.uk/ Never seen anyone who has just bought a boat wanting it so much (Not the boating life but Social acceptance) Total Pantomime performances and tragic that a couple of their age are trying so hard to be accepted by the other Social Media boaters. Sad?

Why? They can always just start a new post. Just like all the posts every other day that start “Hi I’m Thinking of buying a Narrowboat”?

Yes there were over 60K new cases and over 1000 deaths the other day the highest since April, We are never going to get back to normal when you have people like “Foxes afloat” paying little to the advise of essential travel only. They’ve now put for the first time “This was filmed before lockdown” on a new Vlog. Obviously getting asked more why are you moving? But they are all about themselves so will carry on regardless. Yes we should of closed our borders and been more strict, but instead sent planes to bring 1000’s of people back from Asia. Then again you would of got protests from people I imagine like yourself saying it’s against their human rights, let them in and we can’t stop the freedom of movement. No one of us have been perfect in abiding by the rules but most have tried their best unlike certain narrowboat Vloggers.

I’m not really that bothered, all I know is the country is in Lockdown and the advice on the Canals is essential travel only, something which these Vloggers are failing to understand, while most boaters are adhering to the advice.

I thought National Lockdown was Tier 5, If no Tier 5, why when Google many people say we have moved into Tier 5 with new restrictions? I don’t think the Tier system really applies now, all I know we are all in National Lockdown.

Have you missed the news, the whole country is now Tier 5 “Lockdown” so we’ll wait and see if they move, I imagine they will as they don’t seam that bothered with any restrictions. Tonka has a good point. When will people realise these two guys are not bothered with COVID restrictions it’s all about them, their Vlogs, Amazon Channel and image. They’ve only had the boat 18 month and from day one it’s all been about making a living.

I watched their latest Vlog a few hours after it was released, was watching just before they came to the flint works and just caught the commentary about moving and I’m sure they said they were in a Tier 2 area, when in fact the area was Tier 4 in current time, I went back to view a few hours later to confirm what I heard and the place where I thought I heard it was just a black section where it looked like it had been edited out, so I’m now questioning did I hear it? I found this strange as they are so meticulous with their Vlog editing and didn’t remember a black section previously. There are people on here who watch them and obviously think they are doing nothing wrong with their creative movement in Lockdown, while the rest of us observe the cruising restrictions. You will also see no negative comments on their Vlog comments, so quite obviously not telling the full story to their followers, who as you say probably think it’s ok to cruise in Lockdown.

Obviously not, as If they were why are they moving and have been moving throughout all the National Lockdowns? Please don’t say they are allowed to move as It’s their job to make Vlogs. So not that obsessive about keeping safe.

It seams like they are only bothered about themselves and their Vlogs and not bothered about doing the right thing. Let’s see if they decide to stay in one place or continue to move in the next few weeks. Obviously a me, myself and I attitude with their actions in regard to Covid advice.

I watch them hit and miss. I stopped taking them seriously when I seen how pathetic Colin was when he had to empty the cassette toilet.

I don’t think it would hurt them if they stayed put for a month and showed some moral responsibility on their Vlog. I know they have had comments on their Vlogs asking why they are moving against advice which they have subsequently removed, as with most Vloggers they don’t show the negative comments they just remove them, what a perfect world.

So all these new Vloggers can move freely around the network stating it’s work, I know what your saying but it doesn’t make it right.

Will be interesting to see if they now adhere to lockdown restrictions, as it didn’t seam to bother them last lockdown or in their last Vlog when quite freely moving in Tier 4. Do these guys now think they are some form of “A” Listers of Narrow boating and they can do as they please?

I hope they can get out of this predicament and hopefully it might be a straightforward airbag/pump lift. But who will foot the bill with 3rd Party insurance and what level of RCR cover covers salvage for free?

What would of happened if the lock keeper had adjusted the ropes and the boat sank at a later time? she might of still mentioned that he was the last to secure the boat and did he do it correctly?? We all know it’s your own responsibility to look after your boat and no one else’s, especially at this time of year with the threat of rising water. A hard lesson learnt, but please don’t go starting a YouTube channel criticising people for your mistake and inexperience.

They look good towpath moorings though, but obviously not floating. A hard lesson learnt especially as only 3rd Party insurance, will be interesting to see her future Vlogs documenting the raising of the vessel. I’m surprised the E.A haven’t got involved with potential contamination from oil/diesel fuel. They may be looking at a large salvage/clean up bill.

They were not on the lock landing but towpath moorings before the bridge which is before the lock and lock landings. You can see these on the still picture of the boat near the end of the Vlog. It looks like they have gone through the bridge hole to the lock/landings, realised it was closed then returned to the towpath moorings as the boat on the still is facing the opposite direction to the lock and moored up.

“George Clarke’s Amazing spaces” has a lot to answer for.

Another Newbie Youtuber thinking people are bothered with their self made dilemma, as they left their boat unattended with water levels rising and it sinks, only have 3rd Party insurance so may be getting a big bill.

Yes I would say pretty competent at walking around with a selfie stick? What makes me laugh is they’ve just bought a new car too, all they need now is a puppy to enjoy their lifestyle change and Marina life ?

After a month of cleaning and polishing their new boat in a Marina and not even having taken the boat out yet never mind going through a lock, yeh must be experts by now?Looking at when they moved on he didn’t even know what a fender was.? yeh may get popular with Foreign watchers, non boaters and dreamers, but not real world boaters?

Just watched another new couple who started a Vlog, who have just bought a new boat from New and Used now moored in Mercia Marina, have never had it out yet and still they have over 30+ Vlogs on their YouTube. They have also just bought a new car so a case of New Boat, New Car, New Marina Mooring, New life on a floating Estate. Their Vlog is “Love_life_triumph” they will be experts in walking around with a selfie stick in no time? Why do New boaters think they are doing something new that 1000’s haven’t already done before and think they need to show everyone in a Vlog?

Today on TalkingPictures TV, Freeview Ch81 at 14:50hrs Scotland Yard 1961 “The Grand Junction Case” A woman’s dismembered body is found in a Canal and her tattoo gives a lead. Apparently true Scotland Yard cases from yesteryear, maybe someone will recognise the area and spin a yarn of their own.
