  1. Aww brilliant news, thanx for letting us know. Kirsty x
  2. From what you have described it just sounds like firearms have been found near the cut or on someone's boat and before an unarmed officer is allowed to touch/seize them, the trained firearms officers have to ensure they are safe. If it had of been a case of someone threatening/using a gun then a 100-200 meter cordon (preventing publics getting close) would have been put in place and there would have been a hell of a lot more officers than 3. I don't think this is an incident where any of you nearby should have any worries about. It happens a lot with things like house clearances of elderly people and you find that they have old war rifles in the attic family panic and call police, which is obviously the right thing to do. Or it could just have been someone having their firearms licence revoked and a seizure of the weapons.
  3. Phil, it is so amazing that you would do that! Such quick thinking on your part. They are beautiful and magnificent creatures. We'll done to you, have a greenie x Kirsty x Edit I appeared to have reached my quota for the day I'll be sure to reward you tomorrow.
  4. I'm saving up now for a 57"/60" widebeam to be built, I'm not planning to live aboard as a money saving thing but because I want to be on a boat and because I can! Is there anyone on the forum who has done this (with a widebeam) and can give a rough costing of what they spent in the first couple of years? ie before the added costs of blackening etc? I will be a constant cruiser as luckily where I will be on the GU I can manage this and still get to work.
  5. How much each and how would I pay you? I have PayPal! Kirsty x
  6. If he wants to be left alone the police will notify his family that he is safe and sound but needs some time out! They would never deliberately breach someone's privacy! But untill such time keep an eye out xxxx I was going to give u a greenie for that post but I've reached my quota for the day xx
  7. Hi Hun, do u have any white ones left? If so how much? Kirsty x
  8. Now hold on just a minute!!!!!! Itis posts like this that really do annoy me! What experience do u have with reporting a missing person to the police? If u do and u have had a bad experience then I'm truly sorry for your treatment. If u don't have any at all and are just spouting off well I'm happy to tell you that u are ignorant to the facts. All missing persons are graded on an individual basis, some 15 yr olds are graded as medium due to many reasons eg previously missing etc. Some 40/50yr olds are graded as high risk where all of the available resources are sent out, including helicopter and search team. I have experience previously reporting a family member missing and was amazed at the help and resources put into finding them (which luckily they were found unharmed) Please do not be a fool, it is uncalled for If I was in the area I would be out like a shot as I couldn't think of anything worse for a family to go through. PLEASE ANYONE IN THE AREA LEEP AN EYE OUT FOR HIM. Kirsty XXX
  9. Hi Albian, I have bricks and mortar in Hemel Hempstead if u need to get them delivered happy to oblige! Kirsty x
  10. I've recently read up on consumer rights for a friend who had problems with a mobile phone! Firstly do NOT drill into the window as this will destroy any chances of a replacement! The consumer law states that u have the right to expect something to last a reasonable amount of time, with windows I think it is reasonable to expect at LEAST 5-10 yrs. Since yours are literally only 6 months old then u should go back to the company you bought them from. They will replace the damaged window and should also cover the cost of fitting. As with all new products, occasionally faults occur in the manufacturing. I also have many years retail experience and would agree that thins is a manufacturing problem, for which u should be compensated for. Kirsty xx

  12. I don't post often as there is not much I can bring to the table of any use but I do want to say I get the whole rant thing. it's so satisfying letting off a bit of steam and what better place to do it than here! I'm glad u had a rant here and not in the other boaters face! Kirsty x
  13. Hi keep on keeping on, I'm not trying to steal your business and I think, that if you can manage to cost it at a decent price to attract customers without working for little or no reward then very good luck to you. For everyone else have you tried the new flash sponges? You can get two for a quid in places like wilko's and the supermarkets also sell them. We washed my dad's whole boat using 4 of them (48") they are the "magic" sponges. You don't use any cleaning products ant it takes all of the inbuilt grime off it even made light work of the staining from around the chimney. It didn't damage any of the paintwork either. Def recommended Kirsty x
