This afternoon I've been told that an engineer will be with me 10am tomorrow...

Morning all :-) Still waiting for RCR to get the parts, then get out here and get fixing! I'll let you know when something happens...

A quick update for anyone who may be interested: Towing to Buckby was successful. I now have to wait for RCR, who should have parts and someone out for repairs by Wednesday. I'll let you know how things go... :-)

Good news everybody! The two gentlemen moored behind me have been watching my vain attempts today and have offered to tow me to Buckby in the morning :-D Captain Fizz, my boat is 50' I'm hoping that the repairs will be done and to be on my way on Thursday... Fingers crossed!

I've got a sign made, there aren't that many boats going the right way... I did check in the mirror after the last one to make sure I don't look terrifying!

Thank you Captain Fizz, so far I'm still at Whilton. I'll let you know if I get moving today :-)

Morning ditch paddler! It is a shame you're not nearer, you could probably just pick my boat up and put it in Bletchley ;-) I had thought that boats will be leaving Stoke Bruerne so I'll keep a look out...

Thanks Purple Fairie and Smudge, only three boats have passed heading in the right direction - a couple who were very new to boats ( but were pleasant enough), one hire boat approaching their first lock and three people who looked at me as if I had maggots pouring out of my mouth...
