Weld or bold a bigger pulley to the front of the original crank pulley and move the alternator forward
it would need a bit of engineering and balancing

It would be a miracle to get a boat along that canal at the end we walked
the locks are derelict and the cut is full of bulrush

Part way along pocklington canal from the head
with our German Shepard .
the canal looked as if it had over flowed not long ago

If you fill the header tank it will not have any expansion room when the engine gets hot is there a fill to line on the tank ?

Grasping at straws is there any water in the sump with the oil
im just trying to figure it all out

Could it have a head gasket blowing into the water jacket ? Then blowing the water out the header tank . As the engine cools it draws the water back out the header tank ?

So am I miss understanding I though there was wood planks then framing and buffalo board on the out side

Just a idea how about drilling holes in the outside panels and having polystyrene ball’s sprayed in or foam
then plug the holes in the panels
this is only my idea so ask around before doing it
