    Older boats like ours were built to 7 foot. Later ones were 6- 10 my boat has been thru Hurleston 3 times. Last time the Shroppie level was low ,are she wouldn't even go in no 1 had to give up

    Just a thought , you have a job, you have a car, why can't you be " compliant" by paying for a mooring.? I do the not there most of the year! Pay your way!

    I have HTC Desire too and had a similar problem . Turned out that the internal phone memory was too full. Deleted a lot of unwanted texts, apps, etc and was ok Worth a try.

    Yes when mooring , you can avoid buildings and hills if you already know where the little car sized thing with solar panels is .

    If you have free sat nicholsons always has north at top of page . If you know where you are , you don't even need a compass .

    Try disconnecting the odd one take it out of the loop and see what happens

    It may sound obvious but have you checked the batteries? Even if one is useless it will cause the alternator to shut down early as a high voltage would make it think the batteries were cull sorry full stupid phone
