The cafe is well known for the hub of gossip and rumours at the marina.. Main outlet was the person in topic who just had a jackanory personality. . During our final settlement of the dispute over PLM illegally reselling electric the customers of such informed me if the outcome before the solicitors did.. Such a professional managing director at the time wasn't he.. Such confidentiality ! Needless to say source of information isn't always reliable and can be twisted around either by misinformation or comprehended.

Pity that Barratt sold up next door at Quorn Fields Farm as they could have all pitched up there.. Goodness me to think of what i endured at PLM and also the odd balls there at QFF.. A touring caravan visited the Caravan club (?) site and deemed LE12 8F3 the weirdest place going together with the Marina.. Things worked out well for us getting away and relocating elsewhere.

Due to being the jewel of Barrow upon Soar and surrounding area .,Pilllings Lock Marina must have attracted the elite of the local council to visit the yummy delights of the bistro and they went from there.. Although due to the number of people PL upset connected or unconnected to the marina it really could be anyone with a grudge.. Shame that your family still get slated for his misdemenours though.. Is Mr Steadman cross over this episide?

Funny you should post this my ears were burning last week. Nothing to do with me either.. My suspicions are that though it was to do with Mr Lillie .. First name becoming with the letter P ,though. Perhaps out of spite to which we will probably never know the reason why.

To have the opportunity of owning a marina is win ,win ,win...business vocation. . You would have to be an absolute twit to fail in this type of business. . Especially if you were to get your parents to sell all their assets to fund the foundation for building new one.. Then when the basics are done offer a large number of people a good deal of a 30 year lease for £28000 giving a bank balance of £400,000.. Well we all know who the abosoute twit was now..Underlining greed being the downful of such a person. The win ,win situation has fallen on Messrs Steadman and although I have never met him ...Good luck to him and hoping he doesn't treat his customers with contempt.

Oh well he has gone now..lol.. No mention of illegally re selling electricity with a 100% mark up.. Or to put it in reality. ".Every £10 worth you buy £5 goes in my pocket.." "Oh of course you pay for the upkeep of my electricity overheads in your berthing fees for utilities as well"

John L had my post mixed up with his previous one.. My post number 66 is still there.. My information is that Gianni is acting manager .. Good thing is that Paul Lillie and regime has been removed and any ill feeling from me is now water under the bridge regarding Pillings Lock Marina and i have moved on.. I do know quite a bit more as to his removal but what the heck..He is gone! Pity that he ruined my dream of living in a nice "private marina" berth bought with a £28000 leasehold 10 years ago only for him to turn it into a public park with main intention of a 'like my pals and peers" wanna be bistro with lovely boats moored up outside. Thought that it would be heaven after spending 50 odd years on housing estates in South East Essex .. Turns out he made a hash of major things including evicting his parents from site and screwing people over things like berthing electric supply.. Best wishes to PLM now and their berthers ..Well the many ones that despised Paul Lillie anyway... Haha..Nice one!

Well that is a nice political correct description of the affair Mr John. . Unlike the version that has seeped out from the Pilings Lock Liberation front.lol. I don't fancy his chances against Mr Steadman in the County Court..Considering his prowess of ripping off CRT and licence holders after a high court decision against Quorn Marina Properties. I wonder if Mr Paul would appreciate my services .Being that his pathetic response to the judge regarding the great illegal overcharging of electricity at PLM failed .Resulting in a few victories at Leicester County Court for us... I wonder if Mr Paul will adhere to his policy of not talking to customers or staff regarding the matter in any dispute of his company/s (??) Not that they ever were. Oh and the mandatory 5 year exile from entering the kingdom of Pillings Lock Marina..Speaking of which our time is up now.. Perhaps a reunion to visit the " New breed of marina" would be a nice thing to do.. Or maybe not considering that his staff and customers love him..

Noticed a post that said that two guys (Just friends) took Pillings Lock Marina to County Court due to reselling electricity at an illegal higher price.. I was one of the duo who initially did this and although not making it a victory in stone for everyone we were certainly not ejected from the Marina. We left under an agreement which included our Leasehold fee being returned.. There followed the induced rant by him on here known as the 'page 3 rant'..And the famous long thread thereafter.. We do not know the reason why Paul Lillie has left but he was only a 25per cent owner ,if that ,of the Marina only.. Paul Lillie (premeditated ) and Steadman schemed to evict his (PL) parents from their home on site ..John and Mum were directors of the Marina previously .. Therefore Steadman has been the owner of Pillings Lock Marina ever since not Paul Lillie .. Paul Lillie being the operator of the site only.. This happened over five years ago and like many people we still despise Paul Lillie for ruining our boating for the rest of our lives experience with his lack of integrity... I do hope karma has caught up with him!

Takes all sorts. ..I remember committee members resigning when he somehow got on the Loughborough boat festival. Following year they booted him out then ,surprise,surprise he held his own event at PLM on the same day.. Got to be one of his substance invoked wind ups

Well i do hope that you get your generator back ..Advice on here can help i'm sure. As i was walking my dogs back from over the fields away from my unlocked unit and being offered a chain saw i rushed back to see if mine was still in its place ..It was! Never any problem in my rural area but they obviously looked in on my unlocked workshop whilst i was away..As i have historic racing cars inside i am now concerned of a night time visit.. My boat is only 20 metres away though and i'm sure that my three German Shepherd Dogs will let me know if they do! As the travelling salesmen(?) have taken a new pastime in this latest craze rather than having a recce for a plunder perhaps we are to merely get wise !
