  1. This has been repeated so many times on the forums. What I usually do if I see anyone not picking up when we are moored, or anywhere else for that matter is offer them a 'poo bag' some just walk away and I have been known to follow them and receive verbal abuse, others accept with grace and usually do clear up the offending mess and I hope dispose of it in the proper receptacle or take it home.
  2. You are only saying what responsible dog owners themselves also feel who actually get tarred with the same brush as the irresponsoble ones.
  3. Now that's interesting perhaps I should inform Environmental health about her cats that use my garden as a loo since they are for these purposes considered to be loosely termed as non domesticated. I just clean it out of the way and dispose of it as with my dogs excrement from my garden as soon as they do it or in the case of the cats each morning.

  10. No it appears to be quite common practice as we have seen it many times. We have 2 dogs and still pick up in the proverbial poo bags and then carry these along till we do see refuse or dog bins which are becoming less and less obvious since it apparently costs to much to have them emptied. At the end of the day just what is the responsible dog owner supposed to do?
  11. You can actually purchase a specific cleaner from most chandleries or places where they sell these types of solid fuel stoves, but I have always found an oven cleaner to work with no problems.
  12. Avon's skin so soft Woodland fresh seems to work. Try their shower gel.

  14. I know the feeling it has happened to us on occasion. We once had to reverse out of Barnton Tunnel because a timeshare boat entered at the other end when we were over half way through. We were furious I can tell you but they wouldn't budge and kept coming forward.

  16. Not spoiling the fun but I've just read all about it.
  17. Could be wrong but don't they sort of set the standards for boatbuilding?
  18. Don't know if you will actually get the validation e mails or not sorry, it is an ongoing problem but have validated all outstanding accounts.
  19. Many congratulations, bet time will tick very slowly till next Friday. She's a lovely boat.
  20. Well done Marc, and since all appears to have been resolved in your favour I see no reason to edit anything. I do feel that many would have given up and put it down to 'experience' so I do admire your tenacity and thank you for sharing what must have been a very traumatic time.

Looks a good boat with a nice layout, shall certainly keep an eye open for progress.
  22. I think if we wanted to we could all possibly name and shame a company we as individuals have had bad service from, but why do so on a public forum. My answer is go straight to the company, not the salespeople but straight to the top. If things are conducted in a civil proper manner most will help put things right. If not then legal advice could be sought, as has been done previously with a satisfactory outcome.
