  4. As an ex-Worcester liver and Mug House user. Forget mooring at the bottom lock of the Droitwich as there isn't anywhere. There is nothing on that side of the Severn until you get almost down to the Racecourse, and nothing around Bevere Lock. Your best bet would be to moor in Droitwich and get a taxi, or the same from Worcester. Worcester would be cheaper. It is certainly possible to walk there from around the Perdiswell Lock area on the W & B.
  5. His other threrad mentions Beeston Marina, so presumably not London.
  6. The Self Employed haven't bought a stamp for more than 10 years!! They pay by Direct Debit only!! They pay Class 2 and Class 4 contibutions, the second of which is based on profits over a certain figure. Class 2 contributions have NEVER counted towards Unemployment benefits.
  7. Oh, for God's sake, use the Forum standard setting!!
  8. As to your first part, I think that is what I said : ""Normally the Police will turn up, at the request of either party, if they think there is likey to be a Breach of the Peace. And secondly, perhaps it depends on the Force and the severity of the perceived threat? I have certainly known cases where they have made no charge.
  9. Normally the Police will turn up, at the request of either party, if they think there is likey to be a Breach of the Peace. They are not paid for, as that could be deemed that they "sided" with one of the parties.
  10. So Mr Mayers "suggests" that an asault was committed upon this lady, but admits in the next sentence that the Police were present. Perhaps he is confused?
  11. Fine, but the problem is you have provided so little detail that there is little help that can be provided. The K & A is 87 miles long, and I suspect there are hundreds of boats along it, so what are we supposed to do? Inspect every mile to find it and then report back?
  12. A position on the K & A would perhaps have been useful!
  13. From his comments, Mike, I think you are probably totally correct.
  14. I suggest you read some of the other threads here about the MOORING problems in London, and the possible future limitations that you will have to apply to your movements. From what you have so far alluded to I suspect that you will not comply with the Rules!
  15. Sorry Paul, but as one of the founding members of 4x4 Response Wales and involved in the National scheme I can assure you that we are a lot more than your description!
  16. 4x4 Response are there to help the Civil Authorities during severe weather, etc. They are not a personal "help" organisation. http://www.4x4response.info/

  19. Put the nearest town/village into here and it should bring up some results: http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/

  21. No because the water from your engine doesn't actually mix with your domestic water, but passes through a seperated copper coil inside the calorifier.
  22. Normally, yes. Sometimes need a gentle "tap" to free them.
