  3. They were pumping (??) the load out yesterday. Not sure how you pump out large turnip sized lumps, unless it was granulated.

  6. Either buy CanBus friendly bulbs, fit a resistor across the new bulb or use normal bulbs. There is no other way
  7. I'll be going past late morning, but suspect they will do it tomorrow night since that road is so busy in the daytime and there aren't any easy diversionary routes. Read elsewhere that it looks like he rubbed along the Armco for quite some distances before he toppled over, The trailer is loaded!!
  8. All much too complicated!! Just buy one of these:
  9. Going to be an "interesting" recovery, as there isn't a lot of room along there for much heavy equipment. I've got to drive that way tomorrow, so shall see what's what. Last couple of nights it has been very cold around here and some of the roads have been very slippery.

  11. No, as generally narrow boats are higher at the front than the back, which is why most beds have the head towards the front.
  12. Thanks. I think I would agree with John and do the ring clockwise, however if you wanted to be a bit different, but still keeping in that mode, why not go down to Diglis and up the Severn then up the Droitwich to rejoin the W & B at Hanbury. There would be plenty of time in your 14 days to do that.
  13. So whose favour should it be? Which one of the numerous factions do you think should take precedent?

  15. Avtex units have a very good reputation in the caravanning world.
  16. If the MR is SJ 976 856 then there is no RoW across the bridge. There is a footpath along the towpath on the northern side of the canal, and another down the lane to the canal from the north. There is no RoW shown on the lane south of the canal.
  17. Agreed, but the OP wasn't using those, just a normal charger. My leisure battery is now 6 years old and still has a "resting" voltage of 12.6v so my method doesn't seem to have done it much damage. When my charger packs up I'll buy a different one. Lidl and Aldi sometimes have there equally good versions on offer.
  18. Are you leaving them on 24/7? If you are only trying to keep the battery topped-up then that is probably the problem. I keep a leisure battery at home over the winter and have the charger on a time switch so it comes on for just an hour a day.

  22. Doubt it! Remember that in an emergency they are exempt from the weight regulations and they will take the risk, plus you haven't taken into account the Ambulance heights.
  23. They will have to build any "new" bridge tall enough to allow a Fire Engine or Ambulance to pass.
