  1. We used to get rats in the interlocking room under the signal box I worked, that came from the racecourse stables across the road. Wasn't so bad if they just went in and out but occasionally one got caught in the rodding, get trapped and snuffed it.

One of my colleagues one day refused to enter the Box the smell was so bad. Luckily the "rat man" was only in Ludlow and was soon out to remove the smelly corpse. Thankfully they never managed to climb up to the operating floor.

This is why it's off topic.  This isn't about the rights and wrongs, if it was I would provide more details.

These are the questions I asked just to try to get back on track:

It seems they have pre judged the situation because they never contacted me for my side of the story before suspending me.

I don't think you understand how forums work!

And suspending people in many situations whilst an investigation is undertaken is quite normal. CaRT have done nothing unusual. It's just that you don't like it. Perhaps it might teach you a lesson.

    Yet more off topic speculation.

You started a thread on a DISCUSSION forum and have given us just some of YOUR details of what happened. Therefore nothing is "off topic".

If you don't like the way this discussion is going perhaps you should either give us the true facts of what happened, or not start a DISCUSSION in the first place.

    IMO it's called self defence.

I suggest you need to take a dozen steps backwards!

It appears from what you have said that a bridge keeper verbally assaulted (shouted at) you so you stopped your boat, tied it up, and then approached and assaulted that member of staff. I would also suggest that if that member of staff assaulted you once you were on the land that he was defending himself against someone approaching him "with intent".

You need to be apologising, and looking to your own anger management.

I would say no. Ts and Cs apply to contracts. They don’t apply to statute. And it you can’t get your statutory rights without ticking some superfluous box then those Ts and Cs have no value.

Then how come people are regularly prosecuted for Breach of Contract for breaking the T & C's of numerous contracts?

  5. Seems to be either:

What is the composition of patio gas?

Patio gas can be either propane or butane and supplied in a patio gas bottle or patio gas cylinders. Both work equally as well, although propane is preferred in cold weather.5 Aug 2020
  6. A483 crossings going south towards Welshpool:
The one in Llanymynach village is, as said, navigable.
At the junction with the B4393, SJ 264 171, Penthryn-fawr. The house here has a nice plaque with a canal boat on it.

Just south of the junction with the B4392, SJ 261 157 into Arddlin village.

Both of these would need Trunk Road Agency approval as well as from Powys CC, and with the current economic situation I suspect would be very diffucult to obtain.

From recollection you have to have used land which you do not own for a period of 12 years unchallenged by the rightful owner under the adverse possssion rules. Where I used to live on the outskirts of London there were quite a few unoccupied building plots which had been purchased before WW11, but were never claimed after the war ended. There were three plots almost opposite our house and one of the neighbours kept chickens on two of them, after about twenty years he registered it as his own land and sold it for development.

Since part of the latest action by CaRT orders him off the towpath land on which he currently "resides" means that it has been challenged.

But if it is an un-powered canoe you can join the BCU and the membership covers you for using the canals and 3rd party insurance

The OP says it would have an electric outboard!
