  1. I do believe in the next 12-24 months we will see a boating you tuber couple go down this route.. Be interesting to see.
  2. Thinking about it for a few more minutes, I would walk away..
  3. How much is it going to weigh once plated, will it sit ok in the water.. Me, would offer him £2k max.
  4. And not allowed in pubs, restaurants, cinemas or any other public indoor buildings.
  5. Have seen this boat and know of the owner, been looked after. https://www.midwayboats.co.uk/boatsforsale-327.html

  7. Just installed a 4g router on the boat, makes such a difference with the external antenna on a magnetic pole. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08235ZNPV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B019H5V9LW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poynting-Cross-Polarised-Omnidirectional-2dbi/dp/B00ABMPSN6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2PO4QSY8TQ6MH&dchild=1&keywords=4g+antenna&qid=1605026559&s=computers&sprefix=4g+ante%2Ccomputers%2C156&sr=1-3

  9. Bridge 23 and walk down to Frank Parkers Butchers.. People are queuing to get in there on the weekends.
  10. The Devonport ferries are pulled on chains, Devon to Cornwall.
  11. five years and no loss of chimney, cruising on narrow canals. would rather a slim chance of losing a chimney than having to compromise on the stove position.

  13. To be honest, five years of boating, I have never passed a boat through a bridge hole, tunnels just take it off. However, I would it on the other side up near the kitchen so that heats projects towards the open door of the bathroom, I have mine like yours and the heat struggles to move round the corner into the bathroom/bedroom.
  14. The shower is a really clever idea, can get to all pipework by opening the cupboard!
  15. that's actually a right of way, so if it has been blocked off then it needs reporting really. Have moored on that stretch plenty and know other boaters who do, have never heard of anything bad happening there. Same as most spots, only takes one bad experience and a boater to tell someone about it and it spreads.
  16. There is a boat that is often at the markets at Alvecote marina, cant remember the name of them though, they sell lots of tiller pins.. Maybe someone else will remember?
  17. What a horrible thread this turned into..
  18. I would go to Coventry basin first, have a bit of city cruising, Friday night at Hawkesbury, Saturday night in the basin, Sunday night Ansty. Then head south after that, the first few miles of the Ashby are a bit dull and you wont get much further than Hinckley, unless you put in very long days.
  19. I wouldn't get too bothered about being non residential, unless the marina spells it out that you must not spend X amount of time sleeping on the boat, and yelvertoft is not like that.. Even CRT moorings get a blind eye turned, just keep your head down and you will be ok.
  20. Give CRT more money and they will just waste more money, take work off them to save money and they will waste that money also.. A trend has been set, waste money and get away with it.
  21. all good thanks, not on here much, more lurking, prefer the other channel. Dave
