  2. Rotary wire brush in an angle grinder to remove the surface rust(wear a dust mask) then vacant/fertan then prime.
  3. If I am welding on a diesel tank, I will use my mig welder. I have two outlets on the gas regulator one of which feeds the welding torch and the other allows me to flood any airspace within the tank with inert gas.

  9. I am able to confirm that Barby do not have their workshop up and running. They have no means of removing boats from the water. They have no qualified engineer on site.

  19. Barby Moorings on the NorthOxford is worth a look. A lot cheaper than Braunston and individual pontoons with good space between boats.

I have been working at Barby Marina the last few days and have seen Starry passing yesterday and today, Trevor came past with Corona and the unmistakable sound of Reginald's engine as Mike passed. I would have come to the entrance to have a chat but I was literally standing in the marina working on the new swing bridge to the island!
