This is rubbish I am based on the Ashton canal I was involved in it’s restoration and I am now the volunteer lock keeper on the canal. I speak to boaters all the time and a
have not come across one who has suffered any form of vandalism. I have come across a number of people who have moored up overnight on the flight without problem.
I have heard people calling the canal and the majority of these have never been on it themselves.
come use the Manchester canals they and the people are great
Another of those questions that no one will agree on, I would always have a trad back end as I love my back cabin and can get out of the weather with the stove at my feet. My border collie used to love lying at my feet watching the water go by. Surprised no one has mentioned semi trad yet?
I have had the same problem on iOS have emailed RCR but got no reply spent a while talking to the apple help line they tried hard but couldn’t help, no record of these app’s in their App Store got a horrible feeling we have just lost these
This is the sort of question everyone will have a view on my best advice is contact Crowther Marine with your hull dimensions and engine / gearbox details and take their advice
Again thank you the depression next to the LH pump which did not appear to be leaking was full of engine oil whereas the one next to the RH pump which appears to have the leak, was full of mainly diesel, I will work my way round all the unions tightening up and replace washers as necessary
Thanks everyone replacement washers and one replacement bleed screw seems to have improved matters a lot, starting to understand the engine a bit more now

I am just finding my way round the FR2 The boat I have recently bought. The engine runs perfectly well, the fuel is gravity fed from a day tank. When I uncovered the CAV injection pumps I noticed that there appeared to be fuel leaking from one of them. It is not coming from the bleed screw which is tight but could be coming from the large slotted screw directly underneath it? I have turned the fuel supply off which has stopped the flow. Anybody got any ideas please
Hi I have not had any major problems on the Peak or the Macc with Daphne which draws just over 30”, I note that CRT intend to dredge the Peak this year. Obviously you will have to check the depth at particular moorings, good luck, Bob
Thank you for the response, the heater is working well although occasionally the pilot light goes out. It is fitted to a boat that I have just bought so I do not know when it was last serviced. Therefore I am looking for someone to do a service?
Thanks for that it ties in with my experience he did not want to tell me where the boat was, will keep clear myself then, pity could be nice boat, hope you find something good luck
bob
Hi hope you don’t mind me asking, are you definitely having this boat as I was just about to arrange a visit to look at it when I became aware of you post? I f you are definite I won’t bother going
Hi as far as I know there is no way to reduce the travel, mine is exactly the same, I have played about with the threaded collar on the gear change tower but have not noticed any particular difference. One day I must take it apart and see how it all works. I have a copy of the information sheet for it if it is any interest to you?
