  2. I bought some Lithium polymer cells from James the interconnects are plated aluminium which clearly solves all these problems, I have 3 x 48 banks, which is a lot of batteries if I had to take it to bits!

  7. It's designed to stop things seizing but the high copper content has to help make a better connection and the grease keeps air out
  8. I use copper slip, in the hope that the copper helps

  13. My sauna friend was involved in the extension to Rotherham, he said at the time it was going to overspend,he based it on how much it cost to do repairs to existing infrastructure. I use it because it easier than driving and parking plus both stops are near to me, however we can park our electric car for free in sheffield in numerous council car parks or roads we have to register it yearly online well worth the effort

  18. We recently had an extension of the Tram from Sheffield to Rotherham so maybe running costs are cheaper? However it was done as an experiment by the DOT apparently 100% successful. Graham Davis will know the problems of running a tram on train tracks? And making sure trains don't end up on tram tracks! At 2 squids a pop I love the tram comfortable and fast, it also causes no local air pollution. Only problem is dogs not allowed to travel on them, but for a night out in Sheffield its brilliant
  19. Used to be able to buy Lignite in Scotland worked well on our stove for many years
  20. I disagree Ian I think trams and trolley buses are the better option until cheap batteries are available, Also they operate on routes so what is the problem? Once Sheffield and Rotherham had Trams Rotherham also had Trolley buses, Sheffield had a few but only for certain routes, now we have gone the full circle and trams are back they generally run much faster than the buses without delays on some routes as its dedicated tramways
  21. Look at it another way burning those trees instead of a fossil fuel is a win, if you let it rot it emits carbon, if you burn it its the same less any methane that might have been released in rotting. Yes particulate matter is a problem but thats the same as fossil fuels, so the evidence is there to burn wood as its the best of a bad job😊
  22. Actually its a really serious problem have a look at this https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjp-puPm6v8AhXRglwKHXW5DkAQFnoECA4QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftheconversation.com%2Fdecaying-forest-wood-releases-a-whopping-10-9-billion-tonnes-of-carbon-each-year-this-will-increase-under-climate-change-164406&usg=AOvVaw2171oQqjSfw8ioRp1LQ3G1 It was mine and I have put up a link to show how serious the problem is just for carbon issues methane is another problem
  23. We have used them a few times, we did buy food and drinks but would have done that anyway, however in one the owner told us to park up and that was it, he locked up and disappeared nothing required.
