Just a thought, is there actually power available to the pump should it need to activate? In other words - is the fuse ok or are any connections sound?

When I first bought my boat I was able to balance a coin on the rocker cover of my 3L2 whilst running. With my memory I can’t remember what coin it was though, probably a 50p?

I would like to learn what various items were used for on the old working boats. I have seen some beautiful photographs of the boats but not knowing the names or the terminology of the items I haven’t a clue what to search for! Could anyone be so kind As to point me in the right direction of a suitable resource?

I've just put the undercoat and first top coat on the roof with Black Country Paints. It's good stuff, very heavy pigment and coverage. It's also about 1/4 the price of Toplac.
I have just spoken with them after reading your post and I have to say they couldn’t have been more helpful. Nice thing is from reading their Webb page is that they are an independent British family business. Thank you for the post.

Sadly a good friend of mine hired a nb from a marina down the western end of the K&A. Loved it but said never again due to the lack of mooring spaces as a result of all the flats (boats) moored in anything like an accessible spot. He was gob smacked at their condition and surprised that some even float?

There is a YouTube video of a gent putting them on whist repainting his NB. Sadly I can’t recall his name but it seemed simple enough although a little trial and error. He even shows how to make a good job of the corners. In addition he shows what the product is. Sorry for the sketch info but I just came across it by accident

Surely a humane trap is more appropriate? Why do you feel you need to kill the mouse or rat (other rodents are available on request)? I apologise if this seems a little harsh but I can’t think of a more pleasant way of expressing my point or have I missed something why a nipper is actually better?

Personally I would try a fabric cleaner, together with a stain remover similar to vanish and a carpet cleaner. If no joy perhaps try a dye to cover the stain.

Personally I would forget about wax because it will probably only last a maximum of 6 months before it will need reaplying and that is for the expansive waxes. I would apply a sealant and then all you need to do is wash this when and if you want. It does as it says, seals over the paint or clear coat if one has been applied. A ceramic sealant generally should last 2 - 5 years dependent on the product and again are easy to keep clean and shiny?

P&S Marine also blasted and applied a 2 pack epoxy coating to our 70ft NB in 2018. As the boat hasn’t been out of the water since I can’t comment on the actual coating but subsequently had 2 weeks afloat in the marina there and was able to watch all the work being undertaken on other boats and I have to say I was impressed with them. No shortcuts and they seemed very thorough. They all seemed non stop including the welder?

Having had rectal cancer I can heartily recommend a waterless toilet (some call it composting). So much more convenient and less hassle (also less cost) than the two other methods you mention ?
For all those who like to promote their own personal choice unless you have had bowel or rectal cancer I shall totally ignore any of your responses ?. If it helps I have had both pump out and cassette.

Agree totally. I had been with 3 for donkeys years. A few months ago I started getting erroneous bills as apparently I had signed up for a premium rate gaming service. I’m 60+ so I don’t think so! I never got anywhere either via chat or phone and them always telling me they would sort it out and reimburse me but somehow they never did. I made my own enquiries and it was said that 3 was well known for this as their staff in India regularly engage in skullduggery where the customer always is the victim. I simply moved saving me money on the product and peace of mind.
