  3. As I was reading the comment I immediately thought of them. I had similar dealings with them but fortunately I didn’t travel as I wasn’t convinced they had what they said.
  4. From what I have noticed (from land) The Thames seems very quiet at the moment. Certainly at Kingston and Runnymede
  5. Agree totally. I had been with 3 for donkeys years. A few months ago I started getting erroneous bills as apparently I had signed up for a premium rate gaming service. I’m 60+ so I don’t think so! I never got anywhere either via chat or phone and them always telling me they would sort it out and reimburse me but somehow they never did. I made my own enquiries and it was said that 3 was well known for this as their staff in India regularly engage in skullduggery where the customer always is the victim. I simply moved saving me money on the product and peace of mind.
  6. Just a thought, is there actually power available to the pump should it need to activate? In other words - is the fuse ok or are any connections sound?
  7. Just discovered that if you download the Lidl+ app you get a voucher for £5 off a £25 in store spend to 3rd Sept. So add a very cheap item to this £24.99 and it’s a better offer. You’re welcome ?
  8. I didn’t know I needed one of these? Im a sucker for things like this so I suppose I’m going to have to go and buy one?
  9. Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
  10. When I first bought my boat I was able to balance a coin on the rocker cover of my 3L2 whilst running. With my memory I can’t remember what coin it was though, probably a 50p?
  11. I would like to learn what various items were used for on the old working boats. I have seen some beautiful photographs of the boats but not knowing the names or the terminology of the items I haven’t a clue what to search for! Could anyone be so kind As to point me in the right direction of a suitable resource? Thank you Martin

I have just spoken with them after reading your post and I have to say they couldn’t have been more helpful. Nice thing is from reading their Webb page is that they are an independent British family business. Thank you for the post.

  15. Would love to see you telling him that ??
  16. His son also posts some of his work/engines in the Gardner Diesel Engines forum on fb. Just in case you get bored and need to view more??
  17. Sadly a good friend of mine hired a nb from a marina down the western end of the K&A. Loved it but said never again due to the lack of mooring spaces as a result of all the flats (boats) moored in anything like an accessible spot. He was gob smacked at their condition and surprised that some even float?

  19. They are based in NI. Not the other side of the world?. I know they generally have a number of engines in a state of reconditioning and repair. what about Redshaw engineering in Braunston. If they don’t have one perhaps they could make one? Marine Power Services? I think that is their name and I think they may be on here. My memory issues may have got the name wrong lol
