  1. Hiya, Does anyone know please which boat manufacturers use British steel ? I believe Colecraft make their boats with British steel, though they are expensive, while doing searches it seems that not many companies state where their metal comes from, i would like to go to a company that uses British steel because i believe this is the best, and so will obviously last the longest, thanks.
  2. I think after discussions with the other half we may get a bit longer boat and he can use the stern end for his workshop, on a widebeam 10 ft in length extra will be big enough, so thats now a 65ft x 10ft sailaway
  3. Love your facebook page Ally, i have just liked it myself, How much would you charge for a 60 x 10 ft cruiser stern sailaway wide beam, lined and with electrics done? And where are you based ? Thanks.
  4. Hi, something my husband would like to get eventually is a workshop to tow behind our boat, he is a carpenter joiner and wants to do boat refurbishments, i was wondering what this thing would be called, it would have no engine and be about 15 to 20 ft long, it could be a wreck and preferably as cheap as chips, would we need a license for it ? and how much do you think we would need to pay if we ever found one, thanks.
  5. Are all boat builders up north? or are there any down here, we are based in Wiltshire, looking for a wide beam sailaway lined 60ft x 10ft , i know of Will Crickett boats but they are way out of our price range.
  6. We have snow too and a frozen canal, near Devizes on the k&a
  7. We dont use a fridge or a freezer, this time of year you certainly dont need those, we keep our food that needs chillin out the back, good place for the chardonnay too, it saves your batteries, we have a Trad and our engine room is just inside, we keep our cheese, butter etc there in a large cast iron pot with a lid, in the summer we just dont buy cheese.

    New oven

Thanks Alan, i looked at the info for both links , it says they both have a flame failure device fitted, about the oven fitting, i thought we would build it in on top of the work top, saves bending and away from dirty floors that seem to be unavoidable in boats! it will come out a long way i know but as hubby is a carpenter he is going to make the kitchen himself and accomodate this with curved worktops, thanks for the info

    New oven

Thats very sweet of you hun, but to be honest, i have been waiting for my new kitchen since we moved on her, which is 17 months and i am so looking forward to a new oven and hob, bless you for the thought though, everything here is pretty basic!

    New oven

This one looks nice, i know its only a single oven but hubby could fit this into a cupboard on top of the worktop, i am assuming the right jets inside will be included with it if it is for LPG http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/belling-xou6olpg-lpg-gas-oven-stainless-steel-19348014-pdt.html?srcid=567&cmpid=comp~Pricegrabber~Built-in+Appliances~19348014#longDesc http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/belling-ghu70tgc-lpg-gas-hob-stainless-steel-19414779-pdt.html#longDesc
