Hi Brian aww I stopped in the car at the Cheshire Cat around 1030 & I spoke to a couple on a boat moored there. They had bought deisel off you. Glad your on your way through lock were you stopping tonight.

Exactly next time I come out of the marina for a short cruise next Sat now depending on the ice iam going to cruise up past the 2 miles thought shanty town " golden knook " & wind at egg bridge then ill more up & run the engine & may even get the generator out to add salt to the womb!!!

Right here is a question for you all I have a morse squirrel stove on my boat. How do I keep the stove going all night? I've managed about four hours in the day time then I've had to top it up with coal??

I will more than likely be slattered for posting this post about the "shroppie" again as people think am promoting Tattenhall marina. but i was out today and got into conversation at the marina with a fellow moorer. he said he had spent the night moored outside the cheshire cat pub at Waverton and this morning he had been hit by a guy reversing his boat back to the winding hole by bridge 121 Christleton. i asked why didnt the boater just cruise to egg bridge winding hole to wind. I was told that you cant wind there as it has signs to say you cant and is no longer a designated winding hole....anyone any ideas????

The man will be from granary wharf there charge you for the moorings there but iam sure were you pointed out on the map is infact the lock landing. Tell him your going to speak to CRT office tomorrow morning & if its true you will pay. Think its £6 for 1 night but you get the 2nd free

Hi Brian were have you moored tonight? Went up to boat today went for a small cruise up to ShDy oak & back it was bitterly cold. The marina had a thin layer of ice as did parts of the cut.

Never been up to Bugsworth Brian and it was just beautiful. Had a really good weekend on Tiree braidbar are building my new boat starting in Feb. Ignoring comments from Kev

Well I've had a lovely day at the marina today doing odd jobs. Spoke to a few fellow moorers & staff really enjoyed it

No Nb alton I decided not to venture out today but stayed in tattenhall marina. I did pass you last Sunday on the UPF thought you was doing a delivery to a house on side of Canal & I brushed passed you on NB Tiree from braidbar I spoke to the lady at the stern

Yes I read somewhere that it has to be cold for a few days continuous for the canal to freeze over

Hope the shroppie ( the north end) by tattenhall hasn't frozen over yet! Iam planning on going out for a cruise to the shady oak tomorrow :-)

ive hired moore hall twice now it had a very comfy double bed. the shower was horrendous thou very small and cramp. sad to see her retired. worried that the 5 claymoore boats are stuck on the martple flight somewere thou lol

Took my boat there this Morning and have nothink but praise for the marina
