sorry alan .i dont know the rules .24/36/48/ 7 days 14 days ...if thats the staying rules thats the rules ..but when i have had to stay over which i did last year .on more then one occasion ..i explained to crt .and they were very helpful with this ...you are always going to get the piss takers thats the way of life im afraid ....im not miss goody two shoe ...were it states this is not a winding hole and my boat will turn i will use it ...so you see most everyone breaks the rules in one form or another ..keep a straight face and your laughing

im blowed to understand any of this .is it not so simple .if you break the law .goverment.crt. town rules village rules land owners rules ...then be dealt with .if you are not breaking rules then carry on what you are doing ..now theres a good boy

jespot dont let the replys bother you .it comes with the job .dont worry the amount of boats and boaters on the cut ...pretty soon now one will be able to move any were .even those with a mooring lol

so what as all this got to do with people dumping rubbish .and i will still say most of it comes from boaters ...i have seen it first hand..instance small boaters fridge in the canal .which by the way still had food in ...one place i pulled in to moor as one boat was moving off where upon 4 bags of rubbish was left ...went after said boat ...oh i forgot to pick it up .over the years i am sure most boaters have seen things floating in the cut ...that could have only come of a boater .

so i am a boater .and i dont leave any rubbish ...yer ok ...all sort of people leave rubbish in places it should not be left .i dont know about manholes tho ..lol .but i am sure someone is to blame lol

tosh ..comment and that applies to virtually all the boaters you know ...what about the ones you dont know ...like you i am a boater and have been for 15 years or more ...and unlike you seen things you have not ...maybe ...

you would be amazed of what boaters get up too. concerning rubbish .if its not boaters rubbish ..i would bet half of it is .and like you bewilderd i just can not get my head around why people do this.

hi wondering if anyone could help ...last summer i was on the the shroppie where i got chatting to this this guy ..abt 2 way vhf radios . who just happened to deal in them ...very nice chap as it went ..he gave me is card and number ..and you have guested i have mislaid it ...does any one know of him ..kind regards

my fella is in the family roofing game .and in all the years he has been doing this. not once has any job ever been late upon starting when a starting date is given ...weather permitting ...unlike a boat yard we booked in ..having been promised this and that. 6 week job took 12 months. i surpose it did not help paying upfront ..and thats a no no .not all boat yards are a law to them selfs but i suggest most are

well said dave ...i wish i could find a loophole to dive in lol come april i will start cruising .and will do so till the end of oct .if not november ...but in the mean time i will still have to pay for my moorings and my c/t .and thats the way it is ....ccs dont pay c/t and thats the way that is ..and so it should be .to my way of thinking ..some people are envious of the cc.s me included .they the cc.s are not getting away with anything ...

oh yes we had the very same feelings ....still having them after 15 years .so happy for you ...enjoy enjoy enjoy ...even when it does not go to plan ...and believe me that will happen .its a great adventure
