hi all .we may have hit on this subject before ..as i am sit here typing this .i am looking around my boat .and i got to say the lighting is so dull .looking up at the ceiling i have 7 led small round lights ..any ideas of what i could replace them with to make it a lot brighter .

no damage you would be surprised the damage these plastic boats can do ...but those of you who seem to think .the damage is minor .i would like to now how you would feel if it where your boat ...bla bla bla ..dont some people just p.ss you off well done for reporting

if the weld snaps brakes what ever .get it rewelded ..failing that buy some new ones , all ones doing is tying a boat up ..if it dont look sercure its probably not ...seems we need o levels for this now lol

i now 4 people who fitted out there narrowboat ...3 said never again the other one said he would .it was not a problem to him ...you always get one ..every time we meet up for a drink or a bit to eat ..the one who said he would do it again done nothing but moan moan and moan some more about the progress of is fit out ...

that good that you are gone from there .just relax now and enjoy

around about 40 mr 50 .when we took the plunge so to speak .but like someone said earlier ..one of the main things to concern myself was are we both in this together as that must be one of the top 3 concerns ...becuse its not all what people think it is about this way of life ....thankfully we where in this together ...not always seeing eye to eye but who does ...and i repeat still one of the best moves we made together

hi mike and welcome ...sorry im not the one to answer any of what you ask ...as i dont look that far ahead in time ..the most i look ahead is maybe two months .as i have found out .theres not much use in looking to far into too the future ...as for myself and mister .woke up one morning and said thats it ...lets live on a narrowboat ...well it was not as easy as that ...but i got to say its one of my better moves in life ...and if and thats a big if we ever did want bricks and cement .we will cross that bridge when we come to it ...all the very best any way

what ever you do dont name them ...as much as peeps want to know ..dont .most know who it maybe any way ...i named someone once as a warning to others ,ended up in court ...lucky for me i won ...if i was you new boat ..draw a line under it for now .and dont let it spoil the rest of your adventure

yes new boater i would agree with you on that ...like you say pay it and be gone from there. ,they now you got to get back in the water ...there are to many rip of merchants in this boating world ...tell them you hired someone to put you back in ,,nar best not good luck any way

not a lot of people now this .but i did .but thanks for that ..my kingfisher would flutter along about 2 ft above the water ,then he would perch himself opposite my side hatch even seen him dive in for small fish

lots on the weaver ...all last winter the kingfisher use to come and visit me most days if not every day .at my moorings ..he use to let me open the side hatch .and let me admire him ..when i got back to my mooring mid september .i was so looking forward to seeing him again .and to build up is trust in me only to find crt or someone had cut the trees back ...and i have not seen him since ,shame .great photo bob

there is talk of involving ombudsman ..not that they are .i have enjoyed reading lots of books ...some good some crap ...lol and i agree it is what it is .i brought a book once £25.99...two months later the same book £1,99 ..and not an auction in sight ...

all very interesting guys ..well there is talk of getting the ombudsmen involved ..but i dont know if that will be transpire into anything .

hi a good friend of mine ...yes i do have one ...ask me whats. my thoughts on this where ...they have a crt reso mooring for there 50 ft boat ...on the same mooring there is a 60 ft boat .the 60 ft boat pays £30/35 less a month .that dont seem right to me . when they got in touch with crt .and asked them why this is .they where told as my friend was bidding against someone else thats the reason why they are paying more .as now one else was bidding with the 60ft .thats why they are paying less .i have heard of bidding wars but that dont seem right but i surpose those are the rules .so the thing is bid on something now one else is bidding on ..are there any legal eagles out there what have any thoughts on this ...

always a downer on things ...i bet in a million years ..no such thing as happened to a narrowboat in the uk lol ...but i could be wrong .mmm i could be wrong

like i said i got quoted ...650 to do the job ...was told it would take a week to do so i guess thats about the going rate ...
