  1. Beware them low bridges. But it is a very nice trip to the top, well worth it.
  2. Personally I love the rising sun berkhampstead gu,however they do only do a ploughmans there. Which is very nice, but the drinks selection is fantastic. There is a canalside wetherspoons in Camden(and yes we nearly always get a spot) Also, the fisher mans retreat? Up near bulborne good value.
  3. Many thanks some great replys. Keep them coming
  4. So,we are currently heading destination rising sun berkhampstead A lovely pub ,with what must be the best real cider selection I know. Unless you know different of course, please feel free to let me know your thoughts.
  5. Yup still closed, thanks for responses anyway. Did a loop around Limehouse instead, now stopped at Kensal rise On route up the gu.
  6. So, heading down the Lee, considering a detour down to Limehouse and hear the Olympic Park opened today. Does anyone know if the referbed waterways are now open to joe public too?
  7. Hi there we have just blacked our 42ft nb,at stanstead marina,on the lea, after craning out we did it DIY, they will do the work for you ,I believe in the region of £700 inc craning clean up and 3 coats of the black stuff. not so bad that.and a pleasant place to. Good luck.
  8. Yes bolts are proving stubborn, they are the countersunk Allen key type . Approx 50 or so of the little suckers removed already, the last 3 as say rounded off. I'm thinking only hope may be to drill them out, that said I may leave it as a job for Ron,as in later.
  9. Yes hello all ,finally decided to post after being just a casual reader , Well we had our nb meg .out of the water for the first time since we have owned her, decided to have her given a once over before blacking, and very pleased to say no plating required at all, considering she's 33 quite happy bout that. So loads of blacking done this week, only downside 3 bolts refusing to budge (1 rounded off) preventing access to water tank, hmmm head scratcher.still it's a rotten job,so can put that off, hope to be back in the wet stuff by next weekend.
