Am looking for Helmsman's Course a bit lower down the country - any one recommend a course near reading - K&A or Oxford Canals. Have looked on RYA site and there are a few but no idea who is good.

What is the best preserver to use - I plan to line my old 18mm floor with 3.5mm ply to give a surface smooth enough for floor covering (probably vinyl planks) What should I treat the ply with please?

A friend who is a mechanic uses Cat Litter to absorb grease on the workshop floor it is cheap and absorbs the grease ready to be swept up for disposal. Would this work to help clean a bilge?

Hi New owner here, I have a 1988 38foot craft - moored East end of The K&A. I need to do some work on my aluminum window frames and on the wood inside (water has damaged frames). Anyone know / recommend a good boat repairer on The K&A please. I am wondering whether I might do better to invest in a pop rivet gun myself - is this a difficult job? Is it possible to buy new rubber seals for the glass?
