  1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NARROWBOAT-IDENTIFICATION-NEW-NARROW-CANAL-BOAT-DVD-/350272222989?pt=UK_Collectables_Nautical&hash=item518dd9f70d Yes that's Ling on the cover :-D
  2. Would they be/or have been made available to Ian Tylor?
  3. Now I have the Bolinder sorted Kev I think a tug 'o' war is on the cards though if you win I will cry..... ALOT lol :-p
  4. Apparently Swift was re named Apollo
  5. Isn't it amazing what a little research turns up
  6. Now what did you say regarding a little research for the positioning of my bcn plates. After doing said research I discover that this has already been through a couple of years ago http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=42879&hl=%2Bhayhurst+%2Byard+%2Bnortwich+%2Bmemories Yet you still Identify Holland as Shad and Willow as Oak the station boat I admit I do not know so this could of had Franklyn written on her (Though there was no station boat listed as Franklyn) As for photos no I do not have any of this scene but as I have been told this is Holland and the boat there clearly has a Saltly fore end and a Northwich Stern I see no reason to argue with Pete Harrison
  7. Nice to see the fog is clearing Mr Hogg but its still Holland in the photo and not Franklyn. Franklyn is what Barlows re named Vanguard which is clearly not the boat next to President as it has a canted rudder stock
  8. Thankyou this actually backs up what i'm saying as boat that Laurance is saying is Shad and I'm saying is Holland is clearly in bw colours
  9. at what point then was Shad moved and Holland put alongside President?
  10. Some time earlier this year both boats belonging to the Pinnock family
  11. Are you referring to the boat in the centre of the photo? On the chimney side of the engine ole bulkhead? Looks to me like an outline where a plate used to reside. Though even if the plate is still there but painted over in blue, I don't see why you mention that it should still be with the boat, as that is Holland with President to the left of the photo
  12. Boat still around has a HRW2 in now and the Bolinders in ex FMC Clover Gorse did not get a Bolinder it ended up in Ling :-p http://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DrusRiaZSeWc%26feature%3Dshare&a=5gFZAZ1w3GC7rOdq4hSHHw
  13. ok well let me know if you want another
  14. will it be going on the boat if so would you like a second (new) one?
  15. A very nice boat indeed and the JP2 is a very early model that im sure I will regret selling and buying a Bolinder one day. If was Threefellows that would be Paul Barber who did the steelwork on St Tudno and Ling
  16. Yes REALLY!! I have spoken to former steerer's and looked at old photos and there is no evidence of this livery being used on Ling.
  17. LOL right number new plates as Ling's B.C.N plates like so many were collected (nice way of saying stolen as I doubt many if any were sold off legitimately with receipts of sale)
  18. Specsavers its LING Well as Ling never had this bw livery or fleet number the plates being (in your opinion) the wrong place is of little consequence
  19. Well if you want to return them will use them instead
  20. Would it be prudent to narrow this down to boats that still have the bw cabins fitted?
  21. In that case how about Mountbatern and Jellico for you I can tell you C&RT have no interest in selling Malvern
  22. how much would you like as this will depend on who I recommend
  23. Will you be heading to the BCLM to protest the removal of the Willo Wren cabin from Kildare to be replaced with a wooden one??
  24. Do you meen only boats that were cut down and/or had bw cabins fitted rather than boats still as they are after they left bw's care? As some had there bw cabins removed by those they were on lease to! not forgetting the bw cabin was cut off in the late 90s
