  5. Heyford It bloody luxury to have the whole width of the canal back. Now all we need is for the channel to move back to the middle. Maybe the dredgers will be following ......... no, silly me, it was a flying pig silhouetted against a blue moon
  6. They had their 'market stall' down by the canal side the other day. As per usual, full of seasonal produce........ Coal, logs and kindling

  8. These are just the ones that they know about as they had to attend. What about all of those near-misses that have been recovered by the actions of the crew?
  9. Cropredy marina was advetising permenant and tempory moorings available when we went past the other day
  10. We were chatting about this the other day. I think it depends on the job as to whether contractors are better or not. There's been 3 contract guys in a working flat with a big F'off shredder and chain saws, working their way up from Oxford clearing all of the offside over growth. They're doing a damn fine job and concentrating on doing just that. If it were CRT doing the same job, how often would one of them be diverted off the job to attend to blocked overspill, clear debris from behind a gate etc? Often leaving the other guys standing around cos H&S won't let them carry on with just two of them.
  11. Christmas day down Watford fight and moored just before Braunston tunnel for our 'little chicken' Christmas lunch. Boat behaving well Day 2 saw us all the way to Wigrams turn and today a bright run up Napton to moor at Fenny for the night Happy cruising from Carinya
