We have yet to get back of course!!
Plenty of water. Sue needed a step ladder to get back on the boat at Press junction. Level was 2 inches below the top.

Do you have to make sure the paint is the right way up? It could affect the colour change if the pot is back to front when you touch up
Luckily the can only.opens from the top so it's always right way round.

I've seen nothing about this.
Is it Whitchurch on Thames, or a different one?
Whitchurch on the Llangollen. Got an event notice from CRT yesterday.

It's seems we will be passing Whitchurch this weekend when the boat gathering is happening.
Is it normally very busy and are any members on route to it?

Front end looks good too as you came up Fradley behind me.
Thanks all. Lots of comments as we went through Fradley.
Matty40s. Didn't realise it was you. Maybe we will catch you up and you can see the rest.
Have realised with all the comments that there are a lot more readers of the forum than contributors.

Most swish.
Love the colour changing paint.
Thanks BSP.
Lots of nice comments on the way to the marina too.

Two scratches while taking it back to the marina but that's why I have touch up paint.

Hi All.
After over 6 months Suzie_q is back at the marina and just about to set off on our three week trip to Llangollen.
Can't say enough about the great job Andy and Darren did at JD Narrow Boats on giving Suzie_Q the paint job she deserved.
Andy has pointed out that he is "NEVER" going to use that paint again, but we are glad he did it for us.
Also got to thank Clare Norton for the wonderful sign writting.
And before you all ask, yes it is the same boat in both pictures. Both the base colour, the panals and the coach lines are in flip paint, so that it changes colour as it passes you.
Give us a wave if you see us in the next three weeks. (Don't think you can miss us really. )

We booked both times and don't regret paying towards the upkeep.
As for how long it takes to do end to end remember that the locks are manned and are not open late. Also there are restricted mooring so for example there are no moorings between hunts lock and Vale royal lock so you have to time it carefully to get through to Moor above Vale royal.
-
Can't compare with anything because the boat has been moored there since new. Yes is can get windy, but so can most places.
Facilities community and management are excellent in our view and it maybe expensive in comparision but its worth it.

Used the Huawei E5330 on 3 for all of last years trips. Worked fine stuck to the window, although it does have an external aerial socket which I have not used yet.
TBH had more trouble trying to buy more time for it than anything else, as 3's website doesn't like topping up Mifi sims for some reason, you have to ring I'm told.

I wonder where this boat spent its first 20 or so years - the index number suggests a late 1990s registration.
Looks rough but interesting (gosh, that brings to mind a few girls I knew many years ago) but certainly overpriced by some margin.
Sounds like most of the girls I use to know........

SWMBO often says our oven doesn't get anywhere near the temps it says.
I have often drunk too much beer before diner is ready.............

From memory earlier this year there was a long stretch from the salt museum and past Marbury park abive Northwich where it was concrete edging and solid pathways but would make excellent moorings.
-
Oh, and if it floods badly, get above a lock and not below.
Not in the lock then......
-
I would expect some improvements in the depth and the lock gates early next year seeing as the IWA bash is in Ilkeston next year.
Also agree with not mooring in cotmanhay but the basin has good moorings.

EEEEE! She's talking to fridge now............
She talks to sheep when we are out, claims they talk back.
Ewe jealous???

Medals - we need some medals
Richard
Mercia have the "Golden Windlass" award which is given to members of the Mercia community for helpful acts and I would certainly recommend Rob, Jo and Lou should get the award this month.
As for Nick and Anne and Junior besides stacking them with greenies, is there some sort of flag that could be put on their profiles?
-
Agreed Richard.May - are you kidding! If you hadn't taken your picture I don't think the boat would have been recovered today
Richard
Good job Nick & Anne.

I went down there last night and waited nearly 2 hours for the police. Eventually they told me they didn't know when they would be able to send somebody as they were very busy. So i went home about 01:30.
Tried to call the owners whilst i was there but only got answerphone. I would hope the owners set off as soon as they got the message.
I believe the boat has now been found and is in police possesion. Perhaps the owners could confirm?
Well done Junior Hopefully all resolved soon and the conspiracy theories can all be put to rest.......

Ok. Thanks. Thought I'd check.yes it is the 5th boat to be identified

Am I safe to assume the boat called Aurora at Fradley Junction is one of the known 6?
I remember a post about a boat going out for the weekend but can't find it in all this other stuff.

We came through Breward yesterday having been keeping an eye out since Hurlston Junction. If it went that way it's either gone up the Llangollen (I would think unlikely) continued on towards Chester and Ellesmere Port or (more likely) joined the T & M via Middlwhich and could be on the northern waterways now.
Ken
Was on the middlewich arm 27th from the T&M end and didn't spot anything that looked right.
We've got to Llangollen in our 3ft draught tug

We are currently 6 deep waiting to go down the Hurlston locks. Not sure why yet too far back in the queue.
