  1. Ok thanks. It appears to be rusted on. Trying WD0 and going at it but the whole stove is moving and not the nut... Any more tips? Cheers Chris
  2. How do you mean the boiler is attached? I thought it was just by the two pipes coming out the back that kept it in place... cheers Chris ignore that
  3. So I have managed to take out fire bricks - in pieces - riddling grate and supports but can't move the flat plate that supports the grate support. Is this bolted in or does it just lift out and will it come out through the front door? Cheers Chris
  4. Thanks for the tips, will try the origami approach but must admit I am feeling scared. One of the pipes from the boiler has sheered off. Do you think I could get this repaired safely? Chris
  5. Help needed.. Struggling to remove my back boiler from morso squirrel. Any tips? Is it not really tricky taking to top off? What happens to the chimney if you do that? Sorry bit of a novice in this regard. Thanks in advance Chris
  6. Hi all, Just seen these posts. Has anyone got a good supplier of back boilers? Cheapest I have seen is for 199.something. In a panic to get one and fit it before the winter sets in for another 6 months Cheers Jools
  7. Hi Martin and thanks for your reply. Need some hinges replaced, a patch in roof seam, possibly bit of exhaust welded on, lock put on gas locker, think thats it. Let me know what you rekon. Cheers Jools
  8. Hello, We need a affordable electrician and welder in the East London area. Does anyone know of one? Cheers Jools
  9. Thanks for your reply. Yes we have carbon monoxide alarms on the boat, have searched online for someone who can do repairs on Morso stoves but have had no luck. Does anyone have any contacts?
  10. There is steam coming from back of our Morso squirrel when water is flowing through the back boiler but could not locate the exact source of the steam. Had to turn off water flow to get steam to stop so now have no radiators on. Does anyone have any advice in terms of troubleshooting/fixing it? Am thinking it sounds like a water leak but I am no expert on stoves. The actual back of the stove looks like it is starting to come away from the main body of the stove. Could this be related or a seperate problem? Cheers
  11. Does anybody know of a reliable boat electrician in the East London area. Have a few jobs need doing and finding it really hard to get anyone to take the work on. Thanks
