There are enough suitable members in this forum to be nominees and members to ensure they hit the criteria, how is a nominee turned into a CaRT council member. Nooo never, wire brushing polishes the surface, blacking will not adhere. Lots of info to support that fact on the web. ETA a good facility with a suitable high powered pressure washer will not leave any flakey paint to have to deal with.

The boat is new? and only in the water in April/May ? Rusty spots/areas are common, mill scale falling away and leaving bare areas to rust. It can take up to 3 blackings for the mill scale to be rid of.
