  1. Thats not what I found when I’ve wanted to book in the past especially if you have certain dates in mind.
  2. I thought that one stayed more upright and was wedged on the wooden fendering...this one is going to be harder now as its lying on its side...I totally feel for the owners....I do wonder what the deal with the pontoons is at proctors....whos liability they are.
  3. Thats a shocker.....wouldnt be the first time....they like to think they are experts....Im really not so sure!
  4. Some of the "pontoons"....I use the word loosely....at Proctors are sketchy at best....nothing more than a couple of scaff poles and some plywood...definitely not something I'd want to be tied to even in a light rain shower let alone a flood.
  5. This was posted on Twitter earlier. I’m guessing it’s from Proctors….not good at all
  6. And that source is what exactly? Perhaps all those without a home mooring should be charged 200% extra ……
  7. And the cash to run the system comes from where??
  8. Well thats just shown your true colours....you need to grow the *uck up. It's too easy to spout the crap you love on here....quite anther to try and actually do something active to improve the situation....come back to me when you actually have something sensible to say.
  9. @Higgs So I take it from your lack of response to any of my points you are doing nothing to try to change how CRT works or indeed tell us your solution to the funding shortfall? CRT do indeed have failings and need to be held to account but some of us are active in the pursuit of that rather than just posting on a forum or being the big man on facebook. If you want change I suggest you think about how you are going about it.
  10. So I ask yet again what are you doing to stop crt abusing its position? How are you going to change their stance on this?
  11. So I ask again. What apart from prattling on here are you doing about it? Have you tried to get voted on the council of CRT? Have you put in a formal complaint? Have you raised it with the waterways ombudsman? What would you propose to raise funds to cover any shortfall? How do you think CRT should be funded?
  12. As a liveaboard who cruises a lot when possible I want a towpath I can safely moor up along....so not one thats been turned into a cycle superhighway and made Billiard table smooth for cyclists to try and go as fast as possible making it dangerous to step foot off ones boat....id also like some infrastructure such as rings put into place so I can moor securely when many thousands have been spent improving the towpath but doing nothing for the boater.

  21. So your solution to fund the waterways is what exactly? I notice you haven’t answered my questions about widebeams either? If you find CRT so abhorrent what are you directly doing to try and change it’s view? Have you stood for council or some other voluntary role to try and change from the inside or is it easier just to post on social media?
  22. But you said moorers pay for the Network Access? Make you mind up….next you will be saying you are a freeman of the water or some such crap…what’s your idea for funding the network then? In fact why not just put your boat in a field and have done with it?
  23. So nothing to do with CRT owned reservoirs or abstraction then? Why aren’t Marinas built with stop locks to prove your point? Maybe it’s because you don’t actually have any legal standing to back it up for the majority of Marinas….i know the ones that don’t require you to have a licence would be different but these are the minority. I guess you fully support widebeams paying more tho as they take up more water space??
  24. So where is the water supplied from then? Do the fairies bring it by the teaspoon? Moorers do indeed pay an access fee. Perhaps there should be a mooring fee payable for towpath mooring for those that don’t have a home mooring instead…think of the money that could be raised by those welded to the towpath in london alone…..
