  1. Are they selling that in Tesco now
  2. I have just got one of them 3 dongles, £7.50 is a good price, mine is 3GB for £15/month, but I am more than happy with it, its as quick as broadband, I have had mine on constantly for over 40 hours now and it hasn't lost the signal once
  3. Thanks we will check that Thank you for all your replies, it gives us a starting point to cure the problem. the boat is only 3 years old so it shouldn't be anything to major
  4. hey you could have "hit he nail" as they say, because he dos get water coming up by the tiller shaft. The boat is only 3 years old, so if the bearings have worn already something may not be right. Thank you for your reply
  5. Alan thank you, we will check that, thanks for your reply Andy funny answer yes we have checked the prop, everything seems fine there
  6. Can anyone help, my friend who has a narrowboat, gets a constant tiller vibration when cruising, has anyone any ideas what might be causing this, any suggestions as to what to look for will be a great help
  7. I am not supprised, I have a six cylynder volvo deisel 106hp and I think I would have trouble pushing against the flow at the moment, not to mention the debris I have seen whole trees floating past
  8. Severn came up about 6ft overnight on Tue at Tewkesbury, very coloured and vast amounts of debris floating down, never seen so much, it has gone down about 3ft over Wed night but still quite high and flowing fast, I would think it is probably closed to navigation at the moment, you might need to check with Upper Lode lock and possibly the Avon lock at Tewkesbury
  9. Severn at Tewkesbury was close to top of banks on Sunday. Dropped about 18" overnight, could go back up depending on this weeks rainfall though
  10. No I don't, wish I did, from what I have been told she came across the irish sea, there is supposed to be a sister to her over there, it is 12 feet beam and 34 feet long, with a center keel and two side keels towards the stern. I have been told it looks like an old aircraft lighter but having never seen one I don't know. I will try and get some pics sorted, I have one or two on my mobile phone but no way to upload them to my pc. The engine is a six in line Diesel Volvo Penta approx 96hp built in 1968 but the boat is much older, I would guess from about the 1940's
  11. My boat is concrete and has metal plates
