Once painted the tanks will be installed into the trailer and the engine, a JP1/Lister 9.1 will be commissioned by Marine Power Services ready for this years boat festivals
While waiting to survey the stern end of Gorse I managed to finish off a few long over due jobs. The water and diesel tanks for our trailer have been blasted, primed and top coated
Although progress was held up on Gorse because of the foul weather we did manage to use our time productively and we stripped down a Kelvin J4 ready for refurbishment
After a days welding and a box of 3.2 rods the stern post is now fully welded and cleaned up. I hope to visit the stern end of Gorse next week so I can take measurements etc to get the counter and cabin just right
They have been folded to match the new hull profile and replace the wooden side deck. There is also an upturn which will be drilled to match the cabin and eventually riveted through
