  1. If, despite all the exellent help from posts on here, you are still having problems, I have had a couple of visits from Paul at Loom-Tech who is operational in the Worcester area. I am one of his very satisfied customers and have no hesitation in recommending him.
  2. The girls who post on youtube as 'narrowboat experience' have put a video on this morning about this stove purchase and fitting. So it could point you in the right direction.
  3. reply has come back already...... He says contact adpol.co.uk phone 01903 820461 with sizes, they can make up the profile and length you need. Mine are 'D' profile, 15mm wide, 10mm high, with a 'groove' cut into the flat side 3mm deep.
  4. My windows do not have the rubber profile running along sides and bottom, but bottom only, between the drain holes, with a flat section four inches long fitted just below the fasteners. I have taken a section of the rubber and will give it to my contact tomorrow.
  5. Is the rubber in the second picture from the bottom of the frame? If it is, I can match it from mine and contact a local window firm who may be able to source some.
  6. They look very much like Worcester Marine windows. unfortunately no longer trading. (retirement). There was a company trading at Bradford on Avon selling parts etc for these windows. I don't know if they are still there.
  7. I replaced my four leisure batteries recently and got £35.00 from local scrap yard for the old ones. The battery store would pay nothing to leave the old ones in their skip.
  8. Stillearning, The bridge in question is Bonds Mill Bridge, near Stonehouse. It was reconstructed as an experiment in the 1980's, but did not work well and was again rebuilt with steel deck later.
  9. On local news and BBC today. (www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-48192906) Also in Gloucestershire live.
  10. Just had the promised callback, but no information forthcoming on update of the reopening.... Asked me to call back in the morning.....
  11. Just had a call from Gloucester docks office to say they are hoping to open the lock later today. I have been promised a callback as soon as the opening is confirmed.......
  12. Local press report that opening delayed after CRT workers find five feet of silt on river side of lock gates. they are working to clear the silt and open the lock as soon as possible.
  13. Found these on google.... www.procastnotts.com. We have fitted fibreglass surrounds with woodgrain finish, bought at Crick boat show but cant remember the company, sorry. they are held in place with double sided pads so can be easily removed to attend to windows if needed and not be damaged.
  14. Keithgell, We are moored near Saul Junction, so can meet you and go through things if you would like to.......
  15. Kiethgell, I think that in the time constraints you have, the only option is to arrange lift out and road transport from either Saul Junction or Sharpness Docks to your destination, once you have sorted a mooring for your daughter.
  16. CRT have not yet given a date for the reopening of Gloucester lock, so it may be prudent to ring them and ask for information.
  17. Gloucester lock is closed at present, so there are two alternatives available. Crane out and transport by road or, engage a pilot and travel down the Severn, portishead and bristol. How soon to you intend to move the boat?
  18. When I changed my 296 filters last June, I found the only place I could find that could supply the seal for the metal screw was Midland Chandlers. I spent several hours touring round the spares shops in Cheltenham and Gloucester with no success.
  19. We have a pair of locks which fit roller garage doors, many combinations of key patterns and can be used from both sides of the door. quite easy to fit.
  20. Another vote for Bedazzled.. very helpful staff.
  21. As per post 3, I can recommend Halls Electrical, they have looked after our heaters for many years, exellent service.
  22. I smashed the glass in our oven door, took it to a local glazing firm who cut and drilled the glass then sent it away to be tempered and refitted it, £30.00
  23. found this in my local paper this morning https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/gloucester-paddle-steamer-oliver-cromwell-1611359 https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/watch-oliver-cromwells-final-moments-1611623
