  1. hi,i`m at the stage of my nb fitout that i`m looking to buy a fridge,can any one on the forum recommend a good fridge for a nb, many thanks thanks for all the good advice, i`m now torn between a 240volt and a 12volt, with the 240 volt would you be able to run an inverta 24/7,if so can the forum recommend a tried an tested inverter, i`ll be using the boat for holidays and weekends,it`ll be plugged in to the shore line when in marina(home berth)thanks again

  4. hi all, has anyone on the forum had any experience with replating a nb that has been sprayfoamed as insulation,if the replating were to come up to the waterline would all of the sprayfoam need to be removed,thanks in advance i mean overplating,replating the sprayfoam would come off with the old plate,sorry to not make this clear

  10. hi all, i have been wondering what will happen when my anodes on my nb need replacing, the reason i`m thinking about it is the fact that i have spray foam insulation and welding the steel that is foamed will be a bit of a no no, can anyone tell me of there experience dealing with this, many thanks,
  11. the tanks resting on plywood and the damp patch is comming from under the tank, i`ve checked for any leaks around the doors to rule out rain water,if its canal water then i`m in even more grief,if it was condensation what would be the cure,ventilation?
  12. its a removeable tank at the bow so it will be a right royal pain to remove,i`ve checked the fittings and there all dry,so it`s either leaking from the front of tank or it`s under the tank

  18. hi all, i have a bilge pump with a separate switch,the idea is that as the water level risers in the bilge the float lifts and switches on the pump,great,but my problem is that the whole thing floats, has anyone any ideas how to secure the switch to the base plate in the bilge,many thanks.

  24. ok so whats wrong in using 15mm copper pipe for the gas!!i!ve seen it used in a number of boats with no problems,i`ve had two boats fitted with it, and no problems with the bss, so now i am confused
  25. hi all, i`m looking at buying a bubble tester for my gas system i`m installing on my nb,i see they come in two sizes, 10mm and 8mm, witch do you recommend, many thanks i`m using 15mm copper up to the gas locker, but not sure what to use to connect to gas, hence the question,thanks for the reply`s so far
